    The South

Although the southern parts of the city might not have the luxuries of the north or the down town vibe of the east, but these suburbs still have their own sort of charm. Here small neighborhood owned shops often run rampant, individuals often know each other by first name. The west is a quaint, quiet part of town. It's the sort of place where children can be seen playing safely on the sidewalks and clamoring in the park. On the weekends in the families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters that surround the city.

    Hyde Park

    Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

    The Outskirts

    The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often times seen as a way to guard this magical city from the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

A girl.

The voices scream, fading waves of past agonies haunting him. The evidence of this torture blatantly clear in the shaking of his massive frame, the blood that oozes from his ears and the sweat beading upon his forehead. Not many are blessed to witness the viking king in such a vulnerable state. This little dame would have stories to tell to her friends, of the great king of old appearing to wither before her very eyes.

Innocence bleeds from her as she draws near to him, her airy presence bringing no peace to his wretched soul. He has murdered children like her, some younger than her and for this he was not proud. The reasoning behind his disgraceful life a twisted one that not any could understand. The stories of his past remaining distant memories locked away in the same dark caverns of his mind that the souls dwell in.

To keep it simply put, the viking was complicated.

He turns to her, clear irises fixating upon her young, plush face. She had no idea the horrors that lurked behind that scarred face. Her voice, surprisingly strong breaks into his mind, clear as day into his mind. Finnish, nothing to do whatsoever with the scandinavian language he himself can speak. The mere loan words they share wouldn’t be enough for him to understand, but he is no young boy just learning. He is a seasoned man, aged well like wine. With that came knowledge. “Hiljainen tyttö, tarvitsen rauhaa” he rumbles, his baritones broken and torn.

He breathes, rubbing those temples slowly until finally, another wave of peace reaching him. He sighs, the sound low as it falls from his plush lips hidden by that thick beard. Slowly he turns to her again, reaching a massive hand to attempt to touch that bare innocent face of hers. If she allows it, the touch would be brief, subtle, his hand upon her small cheek as thumb grants her a quick stroke along her pale skin. A thank you of sorts, to allow him this distraction from his inner turmoil and then he releases not one for affection and definitely one for a caring heart towards the youth. He has seen kids her age killing his own men in a time before this, no one was safe and no one could be trusted.

“Olen Iorkaell, olet yksin?” he offers her his title, asking in return of the whereabouts of others. Though a supernatural child, she was still a child nonetheless and regardless of the fact that the king’s heart was painted black by the aging blood of his enemies, he still had a heart.

-quiet child i need peace-
--I am iorkaell, you are alone?--
