    The South

Although the southern parts of the city might not have the luxuries of the north or the down town vibe of the east, but these suburbs still have their own sort of charm. Here small neighborhood owned shops often run rampant, individuals often know each other by first name. The west is a quaint, quiet part of town. It's the sort of place where children can be seen playing safely on the sidewalks and clamoring in the park. On the weekends in the families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters that surround the city.

    Hyde Park

    Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

    The Outskirts

    The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often times seen as a way to guard this magical city from the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

The pain was intense and he could do nothing but let it overtake him. In the moment, Henry completely forgot that he was in the throws of passion with his lover. He didn’t even know where he was anymore. As his bones began to break and change, he didn’t even feel Sterling pull away from him. His body moved and curved in ways it was never meant to move. The fur grew longer, covering his body in a thick layer of black cat fur.

And as soon as his body was covered in hair, he began to turn into his panther form, his body shortening and sprouting a tail. His ears transitioned to the top of his head, his teeth sprouting fangs. Claws grew from where he now sported paws and eventually, there was a large panther standing on the bed just feet from Sterling.

His slit, cat eyes watched Sterling as his lips opened to reveal large incisors. A panther growl came from his lips as he moved closer towards Sterling. There was aggression in his eyes, Henry unable to completely control himself in his feline form. Claws dug into the duvet of the bed, the gentle rocking of the boat forcing him to grip the bed to maintain his balance.

Tail flicked lightly as he came dangerously close to Sterling. The good news in all of this, was that the stateroom door was locked. There was no way for the panther to get out and terrorize the boat. But Sterling was in serious danger. The only place that would harbor him was the bathroom. And even as Sterling remained on the bed, the panther was ready to attack. Paw struck out towards Sterling, claws hoping to collide with flesh. Henry’s consciousness was trying to keep himself in check, but his resolve was fading quickly. Unfortunately, Henry didn’t know how to control his shifting – to do so safely. HE had turned away the one person who could show him how to control himself…all because he was too stubborn to believe that he needed help.
