    The South

Although the southern parts of the city might not have the luxuries of the north or the down town vibe of the east, but these suburbs still have their own sort of charm. Here small neighborhood owned shops often run rampant, individuals often know each other by first name. The west is a quaint, quiet part of town. It's the sort of place where children can be seen playing safely on the sidewalks and clamoring in the park. On the weekends in the families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters that surround the city.

    Hyde Park

    Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

    The Outskirts

    The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often times seen as a way to guard this magical city from the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

VHAL & RAVEN ;; something wicked this way comes50.125.74.154Posted On February 26, 2017 at 12:59 AM by serafina dubois

The last large snowstorm for the season had blown in just the evening before, the temperatures had plummeted and even now were staying steady just below freezing. The snow on the side of the streets had piled up and the roads were incredibly slick. Schools had closed, businesses had closed, the television was suggesting people stay home and, with the hope of few customers, Serafina's dingy little shop in the Western district had also shut it's doors for the day. And she had actually made the effort to leave the warmth of her townhome. A soft sigh left her lips as she stood outside of her store, her gaze tracing that snow strewn alleyway in contemplation. It would have been easy enough to return home and yet, with no one there and nothing to preoccupy her, the notion held little appeal beyond escaping that bitter cold. Hm….perhaps there was something else she could busy herself with. After all, she was in the West, finding that familiar that had gone into hiding should hardly be difficult. And, indeed, it wasn't. Coaxing Raven to leave the Ark, however, was far more of a task. She'd certainly heard the rumors floating about in the Black Market - stories that Raven had already confirmed of her Alpha's death and his Beta's unruly behavior, who, coincidentally, she discovered, was connected to the young lupine that was, in turn, connected to her. Still, she refused to take no for an answer and, not but half an hour later the girl was marching down through the woods with her companion in tow.

"Oh, come on, don't look at me like that." She grumbled, glancing over her shoulder at her familiar behind her. "Look - I know you're all sad but you can't stay cooped up in that boat forever, life moves on Raven. At least, he has certainly moved on, from what I can tell. If you're really need answers that bad, we can go looking for him but he's not hanging around at the Ark." The young witch continued on, a certain firmness in her voice even as she climbed over a fallen tree. She was referring, of course, to the girl's dead Alpha and her own abilities to see those spirits of the afterlife. It was entirely possible that he was still stuck in limbo, wrought with the need for Revenge and unable to pass on peaceful - but, even if he was, she had not seen him and Serafina saw everyone. It was certainly rare that she was willing to offer to willingly seek out his ghost, after all, she often chose to ignore their existence altogether but, it was entirely clear to her that her familiar was decidedly distraught about this whole affair. Serafina might have had a terrible way of showing her affections but, she did actually care about the woman.

It was, after all, entirely for Raven's benefit that she had dragged her out this cold sunny day...and made her go tramping through the woods. Serafina was looking for something in particular, knowing all too well there had to be one here. Thankfully, it hardly took terribly long before she found what she was looking for and, soon enough, the pair had stumbled onto the banks of a decidedly icy pond. "Ah! Here we are." She spoke, turning in place to face her companion. "I hope your ready, Raven." There was a wicked grin upon her features, one that was rarely ever there and yet, Serafina was attempting to coax the girl to have some fun, even if it was just to take her mind off of everything going on for a bit. She turned back to face that water before her, bending down to spread her fingers and, in turn, place her hand just under the surface. It was getting easier to call to her affinity of water - it naturally seemed to flow to her, meshing with her emotions in an entirely peculiar fashion. Still, it took thought to still those feelings into those that might prompt ice from her fingertips. That area around her hand began to frost like snowflakes before that water turned solid, spreading out quickly over the entirety of that lake to create a surface of pure, utter perfection. She withdrew her fingers but a moment later, that empty spot too icing over quickly. A rare sound of laughter left her lips as Serafina stepped out onto that surface, entirely pleased with herself and that now frozen pond's ability to hold her weight. "Come on, Raven." She commented, gesturing for the girl to join her, entirely unaware that the pair were not alone.
