    The South

Although the southern parts of the city might not have the luxuries of the north or the down town vibe of the east, but these suburbs still have their own sort of charm. Here small neighborhood owned shops often run rampant, individuals often know each other by first name. The west is a quaint, quiet part of town. It's the sort of place where children can be seen playing safely on the sidewalks and clamoring in the park. On the weekends in the families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters that surround the city.

    Hyde Park

    Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

    The Outskirts

    The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often times seen as a way to guard this magical city from the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

Emerson had only bee here in Sacrosanct for approximately a day. Last night she had arrived and spent the night in a strange hotel room. She would always remember Raven’s kindness, but it was something that she couldn’t continually lean on. Emmy had grown up knowing that she had to care for herself. She had to provide for all her basic needs, having nothing that was ever given to her for free. So naturally, when Raven said the night at the hotel would be free, it made her feel uneasy.

Emmy quickly checked out of the hotel room early the following morning after a shower and a light breakfast. She had a mission to complete here – to find Alex’s family and tell that he had died…he had died because she couldn’t control her powers. The guilt still laid heavily on her and she had yet to find a way to erase the guilt that she felt. While it had not been intentional, she still felt responsible. Perhaps if she had been raised and taught to control her powers instead of suppressing them, then maybe Alex would not have died. But now, now Emmy wanted to learn to subdue her powers. She couldn’t have any more death because of her – accident or not.

As the sun finally set over the strange city, Emmy found herself alone on the beach. Hearing the waves crash against the shore was soothing and it brought Emmy a sense of calmness to her otherwise chaotic life. She slipped off her shoes, stuffing them in her satchel as she let her toes wiggle in the sand.

She paused to dip her feet in the water, looking out at the dark expanse of sky and ocean. What Emmy hadn’t been expecting was for someone to come up behind her and try and take her satchel away from her. It was everything she owned. She quickly fought her attacker, trying to punch, kick, and bite enough that he would leave her alone. As fear built in her body, she could feel her resolve slipping away. Her fear triggered her powers and her eyes began to fade to a white cloudy color with lightning bolts that flickered like specs in her eyes. There was suddenly a roar and out of the ocean formed a large waterspout. It roared and rotated, turning into a massive storm as he barreled out of the water and towards the dueling pair. If only Emmy could reach her sword or her knife she might be better able to fight off her attacker. Unfortunately, the attacker had both of Emmy’s arms, bind them together above her head, seemingly uncaring about the large tornado barreling towards them.
