    The South

Although the southern parts of the city might not have the luxuries of the north or the down town vibe of the east, but these suburbs still have their own sort of charm. Here small neighborhood owned shops often run rampant, individuals often know each other by first name. The west is a quaint, quiet part of town. It's the sort of place where children can be seen playing safely on the sidewalks and clamoring in the park. On the weekends in the families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters that surround the city.

    Hyde Park

    Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

    The Outskirts

    The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often times seen as a way to guard this magical city from the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

Emmy looked at the vampire, knowing that what he said to be true. After all, Raven had said something very similar just a few days before. She needed to practice her powers where no one was around. The problem was that she needed to leave enough space so that she didn’t accidentally hurt someone who was simply passing by. “I never know how strong my storms will be. I’m afraid someone will accidentally get hurt by just passing through. I’ve never seen any place vacant enough to feel comfortable practicing.” She wished she had a safe place to practice her magic. The thought of killing someone else (even if on accident) caused her much distress.

Emmy wished her life had been different, wished that so many things hadn’t happened to her. What would it be like if her power hadn’t killed the only person she had grown to love? What would her life be like if her parent’s hadn’t abandoned her? Would she have even met Alex? There were so many unanswered questions but even though the what-ifs clouded her thoughts, she wouldn’t really want to go back and change things. Her life was on the path it was meant to take – no matter how hard that path was to travel along.

But even despite all the hardships she had suffered, she still maintained the good natured girl that her mother had taught her to be. She had been raised to be loving and kind. She was taught to be kind to everyone and she did try to live by that. She might be unfamiliar and scared of some of the super natural beings that she had never seen before, but she always tried to do no harm.

He seems to sense the dark thoughts that had been plaguing her mind and he steps towards her hesitantly. She is relaxed, unlike how she was feeling just a few hours before. He asks if she would take a stroll with him and she nods her head ever so softly. “I’d like that. Unfortunately, I’m not very familiar with the city. I’ve only been here a few days.” She takes a hesitant step down the beach, turning back to look at him to see if he was going to lead the way.
