    The South

Although the southern parts of the city might not have the luxuries of the north or the down town vibe of the east, but these suburbs still have their own sort of charm. Here small neighborhood owned shops often run rampant, individuals often know each other by first name. The west is a quaint, quiet part of town. It's the sort of place where children can be seen playing safely on the sidewalks and clamoring in the park. On the weekends in the families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters that surround the city.

    Hyde Park

    Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

    The Outskirts

    The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often times seen as a way to guard this magical city from the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

Serafina was well aware of the simple fact that nothing in life came without a price tag. The fact that this assistance with her roof too required something from the woman was hardly unexpected. Still, there were very few things that men like him wanted from women like her. He was handsome, she supposed. He was easy on the eyes though, she supposed so too was her own boyfriend. Azrael would certainly have made the effort to fix her roof if asked and yet, he'd been busy enough of late that she hadn't wanted to bother. In fact, Serafina was considering the moral quandary of pleasing the handsome stranger versus bothering her own significant other when the man finally admitted that he wanted her to find something. Well now, that was an unexpected request. Her insistence that she wished to know exactly what was wanted of her before agreeing to his terms, however, pried some measure of truth from his lips, though she expected there was far more to it then that. Her eyebrows furrowed as she eyed him with a rather clear hint of suspicion upon her features. She had learned early enough that fiddling with the dead required far more caution than it did the living. Though the dead were not capable of physically harming Serafina herself, they certainly could others - and the things she'd seen...it had given the girl nightmares for months.

"I see." She commented after a moment, contemplating weather or not she was actually willing to seek out the dead. Her stormy gaze shifted towards the man's shoulder, almost surprised to see that this sibling's ghastly figure did not linger there. Perhaps her unfinished business was elsewhere, or perhaps she was beyond Serafina's reach all together. Her attention, however, was brought back from that internal consideration by that almost forlorn sound from her companion's lips. Her head shook ever so slightly, that simple action moved those ebony locks that framed her fair features. "No. This….these ghosts are in purgatory. They are unable to pass over into the afterlife, or they simply choose not to. Some feel they have business still in this world, some and unwilling to pass without their significant other, some act as angels for those they care for. This, for them, is just as temporary as it is for us." A small shrug crossed her shoulders and yet, Serafina did not find the outlook of this nearly as bleak as her companion did. After all, the girl had spent most of her life as a homeless orphan before being kidnapped and turned into a witch. To be forgotten - well, it was a part of society she was distinctly used to belonging to. Maybe that's why they found her, because she could resonate with that feeling. It certainly was a curious thought.

It was only just then that they reached the edge of that forest, the young woman's slippers stepped out onto that concrete sidewalk, her stormy gaze briefly brushed over the darkened streets near void of human activity. God, it was late. That sweeping gesture of his arms prompted her to wordlessly step forward, fully intending to lead the way towards her home only for that suggestion of scent to catch the young woman off guard. "What are you, a blood hound?" She inquired, a singular eyebrow raised as she stared at him with a glimpse of skepticism. "Well, come along, doggie." She turned on her heels, meandering with purposeful ease down that city's streets. "I take it that your sister is dead, right?" She commented over her shoulder, the woman clearly back to considering that deal of sorts he wished to strike with her. "I hope you know where she died. Because she's not with you." Ghosts could be difficult to find, though really, it wasn't as if Serafina had actually tried to call one to herself either...hm...that was something to try. She just needed a dead person she didn't hate - though that might actually take time to find.
