    The South

Although the southern parts of the city might not have the luxuries of the north or the down town vibe of the east, but these suburbs still have their own sort of charm. Here small neighborhood owned shops often run rampant, individuals often know each other by first name. The west is a quaint, quiet part of town. It's the sort of place where children can be seen playing safely on the sidewalks and clamoring in the park. On the weekends in the families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters that surround the city.

    Hyde Park

    Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

    The Outskirts

    The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often times seen as a way to guard this magical city from the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

Many restaurants flew by as the High King drove through the suburbs, leaving the city and headed toward the parks and hiking trails. It had been some time since the beast was released from both it's physicaly and psychological prison. It had been such a long time since he had given into himself and the reality of what he was - an animal. Unhuman. A monster. Why sit down at a table in a room full of strangers when he could eat alone with wonderful view of Nature at it's finest?

Parking his 37 Duesenberg, he locks it and steps out. Taking a moment to peer about him and note that no one else was there before he then leans down and places the key on a hidden magnet under the wheel well. This kept him from losing it, he learned this the hard way. Immediately he begins down one of the trails, only to veer off and trail blaze to find a place to strip and change. Finding an ancient hollowed out elm, he does just that - folding his clothes and stacking them away from eye sight. Then with a series of disgusting cracks and pops there stood a monochromatic feline. So clearly a lion but larger in all possible ways; canine teeth that almost resemble that of a Saber.

Wasting no time the predator moves in the early morning hours in search of his meal. It does not take long before he spies a herd of white-tail deer congregated around stream - at the base of a small waterfall. The lion stalks the umbrage until he finds himself a top the waterfall - skimming his underbelly along the sandstone as he crawls. Silently he readies himself for his attack, gathering his powerhouse legs beneath him and catching sight of the mere tips of his breakfast's ears. Moments later he launches himself off of the plateau, successfully landing on the doe's back and wrapping his forelegs around it's torso whilst his jaws instantly leave the deer faltering lifeless beneath his impressive form. The monstrosity drug the carcass up onto the warm slates of sandstone and feasted; picking through the succulant organs before having his fill of the meat. Afterwards he cleans himself to the best of his ability as the sun rises and warms him. The massive creature purrs in his contentment whilst he does.
