    The South

Although the southern parts of the city might not have the luxuries of the north or the down town vibe of the east, but these suburbs still have their own sort of charm. Here small neighborhood owned shops often run rampant, individuals often know each other by first name. The west is a quaint, quiet part of town. It's the sort of place where children can be seen playing safely on the sidewalks and clamoring in the park. On the weekends in the families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters that surround the city.

    Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

    The Outskirts

    The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often times seen as a way to guard this magical city from the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

As the sun began to set, Amelia decided to take a walk through the city. She spent much of her time indoors now, feeling far too large to really be seen in public. It wasn’t that she was ashamed of her pregnancy, but more she was very protective of it. She did not want to do anything to harm the child that somehow miraculously grew within her womb. There were many who did not believe that a vampire to give birth in the traditional sense, so seeing a pregnant vampire would surely turn heads. It opened her up to perhaps being kidnapped for ransom. Amelia did not like the idea of being away from Troy nor did she like the idea that her pregnancy, while it brought much joy to herself and Troy, could cause some people to be downright cruel.

However, casting her fears aside, Amelia ventured out on a walk this particular evening. She had been busy trying to set up a nursery. With the pregnancy progressing at a very rapid pace, she was in a hurry to ensure that everything was prepared before her little bundle of joy finally made its way into this world.

She found herself strolling along the park. Though it was mostly deserted, she couldn’t help but think that one day, she would bring her child here to play and simply be a child. She hoped that her child would not be targeted because of his or her origins. It was a frightening thought. Amelia was beginning to realize why mothers worried so much about their children. How could they not?

Up ahead, she saw the form of a young girl simply sitting in the sand, looking out towards the trees. It was an odd sight indeed, but Amelia didn’t think too much of it…until she realized that there were no parents around. Curious, she stepped closer to the girl, stopping just a few feet from her on the path. “Child, where are your parents?” Now she was worried that the girl was lost or trying to run away. This world was far too cruel for a child to be left on her own at night. At this time, Amelia didn’t realize that the girl was part of her own species. She was far too concerned with the maternal feelings rising within her that clouded her thoughts. Pregnancy was making her a little slow on her feet so to speak.
