    The South

Although the southern parts of the city might not have the luxuries of the north or the down town vibe of the east, but these suburbs still have their own sort of charm. Here small neighborhood owned shops often run rampant, individuals often know each other by first name. The west is a quaint, quiet part of town. It's the sort of place where children can be seen playing safely on the sidewalks and clamoring in the park. On the weekends in the families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters that surround the city.

    Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

    The Outskirts

    The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often times seen as a way to guard this magical city from the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

death incarnate & night triumphant

His thoughts were so thoroughly wrapped in the moment while his eyes focused on the distant sunrise. Andras was tired of hiding who he was, the city was claustrophobic. If he could return to his seclusion deep in the mountains he would, yet the High Lord new it was time for him to abandon his habits and let his old enemies hear that his death was nothing but a rumor. Luckily for Dorian’s father, he had been away on business negotiating with the late king when the slaughter of his court happened. A painful memory that tended to haunt his dreams nearly every night, hence the reason why he found solace in his evenings in flight. Furrowing his brows as he broods on the past a rather loud click echoes through the forest.

Jolting upright, his wings flare slightly as his eyes immediately start to scan the area. It doesn’t take long to find the source of the noise, a woman hiding in the bushes several feet away, her blonde locks absurdly bright in the greenery. His face draws into a scowl as he lurches out of the tree, dropping silently as he snaps his wings out to break his fall. Instead of letting his feet touch the ground, he gives a powerful downward stroke of his wings and shoots towards her, before flaring his appendages to stop his movement and drop to the ground right before her.

Brushing an imaginary speck of dust off his shirt, he allows his features to mask into a deadly calm as he settles his wings comfortably behind him, the tips just barely brushing the ground. Those leathery appendages curve over his head, that dangerous looking claw that so clung to each tip stretches in a threatening manner. Andras is surprised for a moment that the woman doesn’t run, until he inspects her features and notes she’s either scared out of her mind or she’s entirely too surprised to do anything else.

Keeping his mask in neutral territory, his dark eyes travel to the camera in her hand a brow raising at the utter normalcy of it. Inhaling, he breathes in her scent realizing she’s human. Utterly human. He wants to groan at the complication that has risen from the issue, but instead, he allows a dark smile to toy at the corner of his lips. “Hello, darling,” his midnight voice purrs at her, finally breaking the silence between the two of them, “Didn’t you know it’s rude to take photographs without asking permission?” he asks, a deadly tone etching its way into his vocals.

Quick as a snake, his hand darts forward and snatches the camera from the human girl, casually flicking open the side and popping out the SD card. Snapping the card in half with a satisfied crack he allows the pieces to drop to the ground. “And, didn’t you know it’s rather rude to stare at strangers? Perhaps your upbringing is to blame,” he sighs as his hand tightens on the metal material, crushing the piece of equipment in his hand as if it were nothing more than unbaked clay.

Shoving the now useless camera back into her hands, his smile turns deadly as his large frame towers over her, his eyes watching her every movement. “I can count on you to keep this little meeting a secret, can’t I?” he asks, his voice sickly sweet though there is a threatening undertone to his words. Shuffling his imposing wings, he flares them ever so slightly to give his figure an even larger look. Arching a brow at the petite woman before him, he waits for her to bolt, to react, to do something. Andras still wasn’t entirely sure what he was going to do with her, he didn’t particularly enjoy killing, especially humans but he needed his secret to remain. It was a conundrum he had found himself in and he soon began wishing he had never left the confines of his home.
