    The South

Although the southern parts of the city might not have the luxuries of the north or the down town vibe of the east, but these suburbs still have their own sort of charm. Here small neighborhood owned shops often run rampant, individuals often know each other by first name. The west is a quaint, quiet part of town. It's the sort of place where children can be seen playing safely on the sidewalks and clamoring in the park. On the weekends in the families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters that surround the city.

    Hyde Park

    Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

    The Outskirts

    The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often times seen as a way to guard this magical city from the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

dance to the rhythm of your heartbeat

Naturally, as the blue-eyed blonde walks beside the tall, dark fae she cannot help but wonder just what her parents would say if she told them what had happened to her this morning. Surely they would think she were just being silly, that perhaps she had merely had a dream that seemed so real she was convinced it were real when it wasn't. She knew perfectly well that if she continued to insist that she was not making this up, they might just begin to worry that something was wrong with their "little girl" and they'd assure her that they would be by first thing tomorrow to make sure she wasn't under the weather or perhaps even traumatized by her brief exposure to this big city. Neither of them had been keen on her desire to set out of Willowhaven into a large and strange world like Sacrosanct. She remembers well how they'd tried so diligently to dissuade her from moving a far away. She didn't blame them for wanting to keep her close by, even if she had gotten a little frustrated with their remarks on how she wouldn't like it or how she would have such a hard time finding her place among more people than she would be able to become acquaintanced with. She knew it was only out of their love and want to keep her safe that drove them to suggest any other small town nearby, just not Sacrosanct. So alongside the fact that she had made a promise to Andras, she also decided on her own that for the sake of making sure she wasn't forced back to her hometown, she would have to keep this life-altering moment to hefself. Well, and to Chika of course but the feline was hardly capable of telling anyone about the fae man she met in the early hours.

His satin voice reaches back at to her in the phrase of an apology and though she studied him with a suspicious eye, she can see that there is a genuine amusement in those hazel eyes and upon that sly smirk he gives her as they move side by side along the trail back to the entrance of Hyde Park. Satisfied with his acknowledgement that she wasn't elf sized, she feels her curiosities veer off in a different direction. If he really was speaking the truth, then we're elves truly as small as all the stories she'd been told as a child? She'd dismissed the idea long ago that there was such a thing as Santa Claus or the Tooth Fairy, but if fae people were very much as alive as she was then what other beings were out there? How many of them walked the streets seeming to be no more human that Andras appeared now? There was so much that she found herself craving to know, almost to the point that she felt she might burst if she were not able to obtain the answers to them. She was filled with something so very close to need, and as they walk ever closer to the parked sedan and her baby blues watch him beneath those thick lashes that blink slowly over them, she hopes that he would accept her invitation however foolish he might consider her to be freed opening up her home to someone she'd only just met, and under initially less than friendly terms at that. Yet, something in the young woman no longer feared him and as crazy and perhaps suicidal as it would seem, she could not shake the trust that began to rise in her. If he had really wanted to hurt her, he could have back in the clearing when darkness still clawed hungrily at the deep wood that had surrounded them then. He hadn't though, and that meant something to Beylani.

Soft baby blues remained fixated upon gleaming hazels as his answer is delivered to her, surprise flickering across the dark depths of his gaze. She refrained from allowing herself to appear crestfallen at his rejection, but when he speaks of matters that called for his attention elsewhere she was able to shake that brief moment of disappointment. She would just have to live with all these questions until she could find the answers herself it seemed. Instead she feels her curiosity pique once more at his remarks that she would extend such an offer, and it offers her the confidence she'd lost when facing what had felt like a life or death situation. They reach her car when he speaks once more, that devilish grin playing so easily upon his features and his words only make her ever more curious about him. Glittering aquamarines take on a daring and bolder look now as she refuses to look away from him."Try me sometime. You might just be surprised", she replies with a challenge in her own softly spoken words. It wasn't often that she felt so brazen, but his insistence that she would not want to know more of him only encourages her hidden courage. He opens her car door for her and beckons her inside, extending his hand to her as she lowers herself into the sedan and things seem to take another certainly unexpected turn. He speaks once more in those velvet tenors the words of formality that echoed familiarly within the recesses of her memory but then she is stricken by surprise as he lifts her hand to his lips and bestows upon her skin a kiss. A kiss. She knew it wasn't sentimental or anything of the sort and if anything she recalls such gestured as one befitting of a gentleman from a higher society far beyond her own common upbringing but all the same she feels her cheeks grow warm. The gesture is fleeting before he stands up straight once more, sliding one hand into his pocket as he warns her against repeating such ventures before carefully shutting through door and giving a small wave farewell before turning away and walking off, the other hand sliding easily into the other pocket. She watches him for a moment as she fastens her seatbelt, wondering when she might see him again.... She starts the car and backs out of the parking spot, driving off towards home. She needed some breakfast and a nice nap after all this, that much she was certain of. As she heads home, his final words continue to resonate within her thoughts. Just what else was Sacrosanct hiding?
