    The South

Although the southern parts of the city might not have the luxuries of the north or the down town vibe of the east, but these suburbs still have their own sort of charm. Here small neighborhood owned shops often run rampant, individuals often know each other by first name. The west is a quaint, quiet part of town. It's the sort of place where children can be seen playing safely on the sidewalks and clamoring in the park. On the weekends in the families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters that surround the city.

    Hyde Park

    Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

    The Outskirts

    The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often times seen as a way to guard this magical city from the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

So much had happened in her short life that it was almost too much for Emmy to manage most days. But somehow, she still managed to rise with the sun and make it through the day unharmed. She was still new to this city, still getting used to the pace of those living within it. She was used to a quiet suburban town and this place had a much bigger feel to it…much like New York or Chicago. Everyone was in constant motion and sometimes, Emmy just felt a little overwhelmed.

Like on this particular day, Emmy needed to just chill out for a short while. She felt as though her life was traveling ninety miles a minute and there was no slowing down. At least here in the park, she was able to get away from the hustle and bustle if only for a few brief moments. She began her walk at the entrance of the park, taking her time in walking along each trail. Some took her around the more popular gathering places but others took her more on an off-roading type feel.

This particular trail she was on seemed to be less crowded and took her into the foresty area. She walked quietly along the trail lost in thought before a little pink tennis ball took off alongside her. It took her by surprise and she gasped lightly. It was followed quickly by a flurry of fur as the little puppy whizzed past her, nearly tripping her as she walked rather absentmindedly. The puppy then whizzed past again and this time, Emmy stopped to look for the owner.

Turning her head, eyes rested on a young man who was walking just behind her on the trail. He was the only one around, so the puppy had to no doubt belong to him. She offered him a smile. “You have a cute dog.” She was trying her best to be friendly. Socializing was always hard for her, but at least she was trying.
