    The South

Although the southern parts of the city might not have the luxuries of the north or the down town vibe of the east, but these suburbs still have their own sort of charm. Here small neighborhood owned shops often run rampant, individuals often know each other by first name. The west is a quaint, quiet part of town. It's the sort of place where children can be seen playing safely on the sidewalks and clamoring in the park. On the weekends in the families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters that surround the city.

    Hyde Park

    Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

    The Outskirts

    The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often times seen as a way to guard this magical city from the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

Her face sobered into a concerned scowl when Miyako said her brain was going to come out of her ears. Her brow rose. "That sounds painful. Will putting a bandage on your head keep it in there?" She tilted her head, completely serious. It sounded like a serious issue. When she told her that she was doing good and was being taken care of, Miyako seemed pleased, saying good. They continued down the sidewalk before the guys interrupted their chat. Malia had noticed Miyako grabbing for something in her purse but she couldn't think of anything that would help them so she shifted, ready to defend her friend. She didn't expect Miyako to be so scared though and the sense of her emotion was enough to calm Malia down enough to shift back human, her face softening as she turned back to her. Miyako stumbled back and at first Malia was afraid she might run from her. Her eyes widened at the thought, but thankfully Miyako only started asking questions, though the fear was still palpable in the air. At least if she could keep her talking, she could hopefully calm her down and make her see that there was nothing to be afraid of.

Finally Miyako exhaled and then said she saw and Malia smirked. "I'll say. I just half shifted in front of you." Sarcasm gleamed in her eyes. Her smirk faltered though as Miyako's gaze averted to the ground. She could tell her friend was just thoughtful but she was still concerned that she might run. When she made a comment about making the guys run off, Miyako finally looked up, Malia relieved to see some amusement in her gaze as she agreed. Then she asked if she could show her the full shift some time and Malia grinned. "Of course. It's easy now that I've been practicing as much as I have. You tell me when, though. I don't want to scare you again." She offered softly. Miyako herself looked surprised to even be asking about it. Malia tilted her head. "So...want to get something to eat or something? If you have anymore questions, feel free to ask." She smiled warmly, wanting to continue hanging out with her friend and hoping she wanted to as well.
