    The South

Although the southern parts of the city might not have the luxuries of the north or the down town vibe of the east, but these suburbs still have their own sort of charm. Here small neighborhood owned shops often run rampant, individuals often know each other by first name. The west is a quaint, quiet part of town. It's the sort of place where children can be seen playing safely on the sidewalks and clamoring in the park. On the weekends in the families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters that surround the city.

    Hyde Park

    Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

    The Outskirts

    The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often times seen as a way to guard this magical city from the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

The simple joy of having someone agree to play with her put the little vampire in an amicable mood. However, in regards to Anna, agreeing to play with her was much akin to feeding the wildlife…you didn’t. Not unless you wanted them to become far too interested in you and begin following you around. It was beneficial to him though in a way because at least it shuffled him out of the strict prey only category which would have ended up in his death. Having the child’s attention was far better than being in a body bag.

Anna’s head tilted curiously as he spoke of parents she did not have. Difficulties between children and their parents were all but lost on her. Again she shook her head and stated matter-of-factly. “I don’t have parents, they died a long long time ago.” She had been a child at the time of being turned so of course she had to have parents at some point but logically she knew they were no longer alive. “Sebastian gives me what I want. He’s mine and I’m his.” Again, there was no thought given to how creepy that may sound. Anna shrugged and began to swing in earnest, leaning back and kicking out her legs appropriately to bring herself higher and higher.

The petite French child waited until she reached that tippy top point where the chains went slack to signal the height at which she deemed worthy of jumping. It was far higher than any mortal child her age would have been able to do. “JUMP JUMP!” Anna shouted during the travel upwards before she simply leapt from the highest point sending herself soaring through the sky.

Anna landed several yards away, hitting the sand in a crouched position with a brief pause before a peal of laughter escaped her. She stood quickly in order to see the stranger’s dismount. Once he had landed, with the exhilaration of the leap, she decided this one was a keeper. “…My name’s Anna-Marie.” Best to fully introduce herself now.
