    The West

The western part of the city is often home to the poorer residents. Here there is a certain grunge that permeates the town from the graffiti on the once cleaned brick buildings to the broken and unmaintained architecture. Crime runs high within the western half of town, making it the home of supernatural gangs of illicit activities. Such activities are rarely reported however, and most residents are distrustful of individual's of authorities, instead letting the powerful supernatural beings sort things out amongst themselves. Be careful wandering the Western streets after the sun falls.

    Noah's Ark

Resting upon the harbor, Noah's Ark appears to be little more than an abandoned cargo ship. Accessible from an entrance hidden in the shadows, The Ark is a veritable Were-playground that specializes in fighting tournaments for all creatures great and small. With both singles and doubles tournaments to compete in, the title of Ark Champion is hotly contested amongst the Were population. If anything illegal is going on in the city it's sure to be happening within the back rooms or behind the ring-side bar.

years I've walked in the coldest winds
from sorrow and pain I find my strength
the more I hurt, the clearer I see.

Somewhere along the way, a notable change had taken place in the young woman across from him, now that she had come to terms with what she was. No longer did she snap at him for every word he spoke, no longer did she grow agitated at the difference between them. Her ignorance had led to a stubbornness that had grated upon him and yet, now that such fur had been peeled away, Tetradore found himself enjoying her presence. How that newfound knowledge and curiosity had so affected her for the better, at least, he was certain it had. Or so he thought. Those emerald eyes were altogether observant of that scowl that crossed her lips at his decided lack of an answer and yet, truly, the less she knew the more he was convinced it was better. Perhaps that stallion might choose not to involve her in that eternal struggle between them. Or, worse yet, perhaps the fact that he had a liking to her had already made her a target for him. He doubted it, truly, but those 'what if's' had a way of haunting the man's mind now that he knew the cruelty Frost was capable of when it so suited him. It was a damn shame she'd chosen Frost over himself, even if there was nothing that could be done now.

Still, he was surprised by the fashion in which she'd so dropped the topic without that barrage of words she so often gaze him on how utterly ridiculous she found his position, the female was apparently willing to allow him those secrets as that conversation instead shifted to that near ingenious notion that had crossed his thoughts, however passive aggressive and childish it was. Rather, she embraced the idea far more willingly then he'd expected, even going so far as to tease him about it in a way that Tetradore found himself nearly returning. That near musical laughter to his lips had a way of coaxing a simper to his own as he leaned back in his chair, simply watching her feminine features in spite of that snort that left her nose. It was almost attractive, in a way, that joy so suited her. Malia's insistence that he was weird was met with a soft chuckle on his lips, "I've been called many things but weirdo is a first." He admitted and yet, those intensely vibrant emerald eyes still sparkled with a hint of amusement all the same, the man clearly unperturbed by this new found character trait he'd so unintentionally picked up.

That surprise that crossed her features at the newfound knowledge that he was, indeed, an Alpha saw a nearly incredulous snort leave his nose, the man all too quick to insist, perhaps more sardonically then necessary, that he did indeed have a pack. Her ease at so distinctly calling him out upon such a tone was hardly missed and yet, that phrase seemed to have wholly gone over his head. Her inquiry caused him to shake his head ever so slightly, that simper replaced with a glance that was more pensive. "Not quite, the phrase means that...well...that it's funny you would say that about me because you are usually that way. Like...the pot calling the kettle black?" It was yet another idiom that left his lips and yet, truly, he found himself hesitating to explain them. They had become such an ingrained part of society that Tetradore was almost unsure of how best to offer her a suitable interpretation.

Thankfully, it seemed as if his effort was well enough, the conversation quickly pivoting to several further questions she had upon their species and, in turn, his own siblings. He found it curious that she should inquire if he had a brother, his head tilted ever so slightly and yet, slowly, he nodded. "In a manner of speaking, yes." In truth, Tetradore had hardly thought of Henry in the slightest, instead considering that leopard that often preferred to act more like a sibling and his best friend, regardless of hardly holding the same genes as him. "Why do you ask?" He continued with a hint of concern. After all, Tobias was not known for being particularly...welcoming. Tetradore could hardly imagine the pair meeting in any way that ended well. That sudden interest in his beverage, however, had prompted yet another of those notions upon his thoughts as he commented that the alcohol had a way of making things more...enjoyable, to an extent. Frankly, he hadn't a single idea of how to show her the thrill of those lowered inhibitions beyond simply showing her, so prompting his own question as to whether she liked the taste of strawberries. "I'll show you." He stated simply at her question, raising abruptly. "Stay here, I'll be right back."

Tetradore made his way back towards the bar, flagging down the man who tended it to order her a drink he thought she might enjoy far more than the whiskey within his own glass. He ignored that curious glance the man gave him at purchasing such a distinctly girly drink and, a few moments later, that chilled strawberry beverage was placed in front of him. He plucked that glass from the bar, making his way back towards the table only to present it to the woman with a rather pleased, "Tada. It's called a Strawberry Daiquiri. I think you'll like it. It tastes better than mine." He stated, plopping in the chair beside her rather than his original one across from her. This would certainly get interesting.
