    The West

The western part of the city is often home to the poorer residents. Here there is a certain grunge that permeates the town from the graffiti on the once cleaned brick buildings to the broken and unmaintained architecture. Crime runs high within the western half of town, making it the home of supernatural gangs of illicit activities. Such activities are rarely reported however, and most residents are distrustful of individual's of authorities, instead letting the powerful supernatural beings sort things out amongst themselves. Be careful wandering the Western streets after the sun falls.

    Noah's Ark

Resting upon the harbor, Noah's Ark appears to be little more than an abandoned cargo ship. Accessible from an entrance hidden in the shadows, The Ark is a veritable Were-playground that specializes in fighting tournaments for all creatures great and small. With both singles and doubles tournaments to compete in, the title of Ark Champion is hotly contested amongst the Were population. If anything illegal is going on in the city it's sure to be happening within the back rooms or behind the ring-side bar.

Be careful when wandering this district at night for many groups meet within those dark, dilapidated buildings. There are also whispers of hard to obtain goods being sold behind those closed doors but you have to know who's who to get an in!

Henry tried his best to stick close. He was still having trouble coordinating his movements. The animal inside him was still fighting and Henry was trying so hard to control himself. As they finally left the safety of the warehouse building, Henry fought to keep up with Tetradore. His legs were note quite in unison. Before, it had been the animal controlling his movements and they had been fluid. But now, his gate was jerky and unsteady. Perhaps he was just trying too hard. But he had to try hard…he could not allow himself to lose control again. Now they were out in public. There were others around him…others that had no idea the danger that was so near.

But the longer they traveled, the easier walking became. His gate became more fluid, Henry finally getting control of walking with four legs and not two. The smells outside assaulted his senses. As they traveled through the neighboring bordering the forest, Henry could smell all the small dogs and cats. The animal was trying to set free again, to hunt. But Henry tried to remain in control. It was exhausting. He only hoped that one day it would get easy…one day he would not have to fight the instincts that overtook him. He hoped the animal side would be one with him as Tetradore said it would. He had to have some faith that he wasn’t an absolute monster.

As the forest surrounded them, there was an entirely new assault of smells that enticed him: squirrels, birds, rabbits. Then the feline in front of him stops and Henry pauses in his tracks. Eyes look around at the forest and he cannot help but think of fitting it was that he was in this vastness alone. Sure, he wasn’t technically alone, but he sure felt alone. He wanted to share every aspect of his life with Sterling and yet…he was so scared to share this part of him again.

He was overcome with grief as his thoughts overtook his consciousness. He hardly saw the way the other panther got into pounce position. So naturally, when the other’s form came crashing into his, he growled lightly in surprise as he felt to the ground. Standing, he shook the dirt off his coat. He wasn’t sure playing was the best idea. Rather, he didn’t feel like playing was appropriate. How could he possibly play when he felt so responsible for what he had done to Sterling just days before. It didn’t feel right to him.

And yet, despite his feelings on the matter, he knew that Tetradore was doing him a favor by trying to teach him about his animal half. He supposed the lesson here was to try to show him that being a panther could be so much more than danger and heartbreak. He was trying to show him that being a panther could be something praiseworthy. Despite not feeling playful at all, he crouched down, allowing his tail to flick back and forth before he took off after the other, chasing him through the forest.
