    The West

The western part of the city is often home to the poorer residents. Here there is a certain grunge that permeates the town from the graffiti on the once cleaned brick buildings to the broken and unmaintained architecture. Crime runs high within the western half of town, making it the home of supernatural gangs of illicit activities. Such activities are rarely reported however, and most residents are distrustful of individual's of authorities, instead letting the powerful supernatural beings sort things out amongst themselves. Be careful wandering the Western streets after the sun falls.

    Noah's Ark

Resting upon the harbor, Noah's Ark appears to be little more than an abandoned cargo ship. Accessible from an entrance hidden in the shadows, The Ark is a veritable Were-playground that specializes in fighting tournaments for all creatures great and small. With both singles and doubles tournaments to compete in, the title of Ark Champion is hotly contested amongst the Were population. If anything illegal is going on in the city it's sure to be happening within the back rooms or behind the ring-side bar.

years I've walked in the coldest winds
from sorrow and pain I find my strength
the more I hurt, the clearer I see.

He was nine the last time he'd had a birthday that was actually celebrated. For years in the aftermath of his capture, Tetradore had been near unable to keep track of those days, and months and years that past. It wasn't until some time later that Tetradore had been released from that dungeon like depths of the dance club and yet, he knew well the sort of woman his mistress was, that date was entirely kept to himself and, since then, his own little family of misfits had too been kept ignorant of that simple date. She seemed to regard that whole notion of a birthday entirely flippantly. Here she was, turning the ripe age of twenty-one and instead of enjoying it properly, she accepted her birthday as being acceptable with a birthday card from her damn dentist. He could hardly help the fashion in which those emerald eyes simply stared at her entirely dumbfounded, even as that bottle became lower and lower by the minute. "Those are your presents?" He stated in a clearly dubious fashion, his head shaking ever so slightly. "That sounds fucking pathetic." Even if she had no family or friends, she could do something more with her special day! Drinking? One-night stand? Using up all of a credit card on frivolous purchases? Something childish, something to make her feel alive. God, she was such a stick in the mud that, quite frankly, she reminded him terribly of Raven, if the woman was injected with occasional sass.

In those moments after, her thumb traced the edge of that sweating glass in a entirely despondent fashion before her words mirrored his own thoughts. The fact that she deemed this a complete night caused his eyebrows to raise ever so slightly. A small yawn crossed his lips as he leaned back in his seat, his gaze shifted towards the ring before traveling back to the young woman at his side. "Still seems like a sad birthday to me." He commented simply, falling silent for a moment as he sipped that glass of alcohol before an idle notion began to toy with his thoughts. It seemed as if Tetradore was going to be the conductor for this shindig. "Come with me." He stated simply, sliding off the chair as he gestured towards the young woman with that bottle of liquor in one hand and that nearly empty glass in the other. The man easily wove his way in and out of that crowd, drifting towards the further reaches of the ship only to lead the woman into a rather spacious kitchen. The nights were the only time they were truly active and yet, it wasn't as if dinner service was ever really booming. Most people came for the fights and the drinks, not their hearty meals.

A simple wave of his hand was all that was necessary for the kitchen to vacate, leaving the pair alone in that brightly lit room. "Have you ever made a cake before? Or cupcakes...or whatever it is you like?" He inquired, making his way towards the pantry. Tetradore might have been an awful cook but he'd seen Raven drag out some of the same ingredients time and time again no matter what she baked them. Some things were always used. Flour. Sugar. Baking Soda. Baking Powder. Soon, he returned towards the countertops to place those bags and little containers in front of her. "I have no clue how to bake but you can't have a birthday without….something right? Oh...eggs...she always uses eggs...and maybe milk?" He questioned, more talking to himself as he moved towards the refrigerator, leaving Calliel to decide what they were going to make, or hunt a recipe incase she was as clueless as he was. After all, this was what people did right? Tipsy baking? Hell, he was pretty sure that was a date idea somewhere in someone's book.
