    The West

The western part of the city is often home to the poorer residents. Here there is a certain grunge that permeates the town from the graffiti on the once cleaned brick buildings to the broken and unmaintained architecture. Crime runs high within the western half of town, making it the home of supernatural gangs of illicit activities. Such activities are rarely reported however, and most residents are distrustful of individual's of authorities, instead letting the powerful supernatural beings sort things out amongst themselves. Be careful wandering the Western streets after the sun falls.

    Noah's Ark

Resting upon the harbor, Noah's Ark appears to be little more than an abandoned cargo ship. Accessible from an entrance hidden in the shadows, The Ark is a veritable Were-playground that specializes in fighting tournaments for all creatures great and small. With both singles and doubles tournaments to compete in, the title of Ark Champion is hotly contested amongst the Were population. If anything illegal is going on in the city it's sure to be happening within the back rooms or behind the ring-side bar.

years I've walked in the coldest winds
from sorrow and pain I find my strength
the more I hurt, the clearer I see.

Calliel's insistence that love would find a way into his life was met with a simple raise of his eyebrows. It was doubtful, truly, that his world would ever achieve a state of such blissfulness. It was almost impossible, considering his own past and the future that he was only just becoming to grips with. He had become so accustomed to simply making every effort to throw away his life in any fashion he could that the idea of living for someone simply seemed preposterous. If only she knew of what she was speaking of. Even so, the were-King offered her a small shrug, entirely content to turn her words back against her. "If that's how it works, then you will too...someday." He commented, attempting to be reassuring in some fashion, even if he wasn't certain on why he was bothering to do so in the first place. Such considerations, however, quickly evaporated within the wake of that chocolate batter that quite near flung across their features, prompting little more than warm laughter from both of them. Calliel's efforts to wipe that batter from his features was hardly entirely successful, the stubble on his face certainly catching it's fair share of chocolate. He could feel it there, on his skin and yet, for tonight, he was willing to let his often ever present desire for cleanliness to pass. Besides, it was hardly fair to fret over such a thing when he was quite literally drawing in the mess on her skin.

It that was that very mention of her being a feline, however, that prompted a rather unexpected twist of that conversation. Tetradore quite near gawked at the girl at the very idea of being incapable of eating any kind of meat product, that incredulousness in his voice certainly clear, even despite that solemn bob of her head. That admittance that she could only manage small portions of seafood cause a glimpse almost akin to horror upon his features, the man perhaps enjoying the fish of the ocean as much as the game he could catch in the forest. To be denied both was near akin to torture, he was sure. Or rather, the tipsy man he presently was tended to be quite sure. His head tilted to the side as he considered this, "Can you have like...animal by products? Like cheese and milk and stuff?" It was curious to him, truly, how her diet had become so restricted. He assumed, to some degree, she could enjoy those products that came from other animals. After all, their cake was filled with them, and yet, he supposed there was a difference from having a cake cooked with butter and egg compared to straight up drinking a glass of milk. He'd never truly considered so much of his daily diet as he had in that singular moment. It was this, surely, that prompted that idle comment of how she would certainly hate it here, given that rather large difference between their species and yet, he hadn't expected how readily she might have agreed. Curious. Very curious.

Any such thoughts, however, were quickly put aside at the mention of their nearly empty bottle of alcohol beside him. Tetradore hardly protested in her insistence for more, the man easily slid off the countertop to go search for that very thing. It wasn't until several moments later that he returned with multiple bottles in hand. The first one was placed before her with the declaration that it should be utilized within their icing, the second one, however, was quite clearly of a higher caliber, the man almost purposefully avoiding exactly how or from whom he had gotten the rather expensive bottle in the first place. Her insistence that the bottle was not something he should waste, however, was quite near waved off. "Nah, he was just trying to get back into my good graces." He was hardly perturbed by the usage of the alcohol in this fashion, the man instead easily poured that liquor in both of their cups, climbing back to his designated space only to continue to brood over those thoughts that largely occupied his attention. It this, certainly, which prompted him to inquire after the state of Calliel's membership to any particular pack, his attention wholly upon her as she spoke.

"Hm…..that must be rough for you." He commented simply, considering what he knew of her species. Unlike his kind, Calliel was a pack animal by nature. Horses felt most complete in their herd whereas panthers tended to wander. The weight of his emerald eyes lingered upon the young woman, the corner of his lips tilted downwards in a small frown. It was only the sound of Calliel's voice that drew his attention back towards that present moment, the man nodded but briefly. "I would hope so. Four hundred dollars better make a damn good drink." He eyed that liquid within his own glass before slowly raising it to his own lips, sipping upon that smooth, strong liquor. Dear god, it was good. It was worth every dollar he was quite near drinking away. "You know, if you ever change your mind - about this place not being awful for your...what was it…? A predator's lair? Anyways, let me know." He shrugged, hardly interested in making a large deal of that offer he had just provided her. "How's the icing going?"
