    The West

The western part of the city is often home to the poorer residents. Here there is a certain grunge that permeates the town from the graffiti on the once cleaned brick buildings to the broken and unmaintained architecture. Crime runs high within the western half of town, making it the home of supernatural gangs of illicit activities. Such activities are rarely reported however, and most residents are distrustful of individual's of authorities, instead letting the powerful supernatural beings sort things out amongst themselves. Be careful wandering the Western streets after the sun falls.

    Noah's Ark

Resting upon the harbor, Noah's Ark appears to be little more than an abandoned cargo ship. Accessible from an entrance hidden in the shadows, The Ark is a veritable Were-playground that specializes in fighting tournaments for all creatures great and small. With both singles and doubles tournaments to compete in, the title of Ark Champion is hotly contested amongst the Were population. If anything illegal is going on in the city it's sure to be happening within the back rooms or behind the ring-side bar.

That query as to whether or not he might desire Jackal to see her naked was met with a curious tilt off his head, the man hardly seeming to have considered this outcome of Jackal’s presence. Tobias, after all, so often failed to link one action to another. His mind had come to accept Jackal’s presence in and about the Ark. The little Mexican man one of the few beings the Leopard was willing to tolerate around his mate and indeed tolerate in general. Tobias so having come to perceive Jackal as a welcomed presence in most instances, his mind so clearly having failed to consider that current state of undress as his features frowned in a renewed contemplation of just that. Tobias quite sure some things were for him alone even if he failed to understand just why that was so, the man hardly liking the idea of another man seeing his mate as she was now when he alone had worked so hard to enjoy those touches. His possessiveness flaring readily now as he scowled, head suddenly shaking and yet his mind still turned somewhere within those dark confines, those fractured thoughts so struggling to piece themselves together and consider just what was presented to him now. Her injured side was the very reason she had pressed his hands away and yet Jackal could make such injury go away, he was sure, his mind struggling to connect that cause and reaction in a level of higher order thinking so rarely attributed to him before his head simply shook- that towel tossed to the ground as he wandered out and into his bedroom. His mind, seemingly, already fixated on other things.

He moved easily towards that bookshelf Raven kept, the gangly boy bending down now t peer beneath it, moving to grasp that box from beneath before pulling it out. The boy assured important things were kept on the bookshelf- or beneath it. Tobias making himself comfortable upon that rug all the same as those long gangly limbs folded beneath him as he proceeded to upend that box and all it’s contents onto the ground to scatter haphazardly around. Those fathomless dark eyes glanced upward at Raven’s words, his gaze flicking to that pair of sweatpants, the boy eyeing them almost warily a moment. Tobias notoriously possessive off his pants in every fashion. The look of those new pants hardly appealed to him in any sense and yet…..for Raven, it seemed, he was at least willing to try them if only to please her, the boy proceeding to reach for them, rolling dramatically onto his back to slip those jeans from himself before pulling those new pants on and sitting upright once more. These new pants were…looser, more flexible then jeans and yet so attempting to have Tobias try something new was a desperately difficult thing. The man desperately ingrained in those patterns. Sweatpants were not jeans. He had not been taught to wear sweatpants. The boy seeming almost distressed by these new pants as his dark eyes lifted to Raven once more as if seeking reassurance for them in some fashion.

“Pants…are…..different.”

That he was clearly unsure of them remained to be seen, the smallest of things so often capable of derailing the boy and yet for now he remained seated, wary of those new pants still as his gaze drifted towards those bits of leather and tin and rope and buttons scattered about the floor. He reached easily for those pieces he was working upon, his fingers folding them almost effortlessly into patterns as if braiding them together over and over to work those coloured strands together with a methodical ease and focus so desperately rare for him. That soft hiss from his mate as she sat beside him saw those dark eyes glance upward again, features frowning once more as his gaze rested upon her side, his mind turning once more though as to what he so considered remained to be seen. Those questions that fell from the woman’s lips saw his brows furrow, the man so clearly attempting to understand those words and place them within his mind. Those words a struggle now.

“It is….Box of Making….make…..present for Birdie…..yes. Watch….others do it.”

What ‘others’ he had watched remained to be seen and yet that this was a mimicked behaviour was perhaps not truly astounding, Tobias entirely capable of taking on those behaviours of others and maintaining them when he chose to do as such. This, perhaps, one such time as his fingers moved to continue that pattern. His hands shifted abruptly, moving to pass that half-finished bracelet to Bridie suddenly before the boy moved to stand, Tobias taking no more then several paces before pausing, eyes suddenly word, scanning that room hurriedly before taking another step towards the door, only to pause again with yet another look of nervousness.

“Can….hear….noise.”

That he was reacting to the noise of his pants clearly remained to be seen. Tobias assured that someone else was clearly within the room, the man taking several more steps before slipping out the door only to break into a sudden sprint down the hallway, several employees diving out of the way as Tobias all but tore towards the other side of the boat, that sound of him running halted for barely a moment before he came sprinting back into that bedroom at full speed. The Leopard very near raced around that room in the same frantic manner, completing no less than a lap of it before abruptly throwing himself to the floor rug in perhaps one of the strangest set of behaviours the boy had ever displayed. Tobias rolling suddenly onto his back, eyes wide and chest heaving with the effort before he suddenly ceased to breath, holding his breath now. Waiting. The boy seeming to listen for….something before finally, at last, seeming to relax.

“Have….outrun….it!”

That grin that touched his features was nothing short of joyous, the boy seeming delighted to have ‘outrun’ the sound off his pants, Tobias oblivious to the fact his lack of movement was what had surely resulted in such a thing rather than his skill and yet, surely, raven would not ruin his delight as his head shifted to rest upon her leg and use it as a pillow in an almost affectionate fashion- one hand reaching abruptly upward to press suddenly to the woman’s injured side. Those healing powers pilfered from Jackal (the man having been set upon at the end of the hallway) pressed into Raven now to aid with her wounded side. The boy reaching for that bracelet once more before beginning to fold it again.

“Birdie….better now.”
