    The West

The western part of the city is often home to the poorer residents. Here there is a certain grunge that permeates the town from the graffiti on the once cleaned brick buildings to the broken and unmaintained architecture. Crime runs high within the western half of town, making it the home of supernatural gangs of illicit activities. Such activities are rarely reported however, and most residents are distrustful of individual's of authorities, instead letting the powerful supernatural beings sort things out amongst themselves. Be careful wandering the Western streets after the sun falls.

    Noah's Ark

Resting upon the harbor, Noah's Ark appears to be little more than an abandoned cargo ship. Accessible from an entrance hidden in the shadows, The Ark is a veritable Were-playground that specializes in fighting tournaments for all creatures great and small. With both singles and doubles tournaments to compete in, the title of Ark Champion is hotly contested amongst the Were population. If anything illegal is going on in the city it's sure to be happening within the back rooms or behind the ring-side bar.

there are as many truths as stars in the sky, and everyone of them different
perhaps that is the only real truth

To say my shop was booming was an understatement. I had hardly anytime to think up new spells or recipes for herbal concoctions because I was constantly restocking my shelves. Humans bragged to each other and on social media about how my stuff worked and they no longer needed human medicine - although they simply assumed it was herbal remedies. Most of it was, really, and some of it had a hint of magic while some was infused with a fair bit. The pricing was a bit higher due to the demand now which mean I was starting to actually turn a profit. I was careful to stuff away money as best as I could so that maybe I could finally get enough to have an apartment. My shop was nice but sleeping in the back room was growing old fast and I missed my studio apartment. But I had given that up when I flew home to Scotland to sort out my parents affairs after their deaths and then I stayed longer because I mourned them.

Now that I was back, though, I had a little time to calm my rage. Someone from Sacrosanct had been in Scotland at the time of my parents murder, I knew that, and so I would find out who and why and I would exact revenge. It was a cold pill to swallow because I wasn't that type of person but it was amazing what a change grief and wreak. Night had settled swiftly over Sacrosanct, interrupted by the bright lights of the city, but I had hastened into the darkened alleys and to the Ark with ease. Where before I had been a mess and naive, I was more in control of myself. The shadows responded to my call and the earth did as well, softening each step between the cracks of forgotten pavement.

When at last I made it onto the Ark the fighting was well underway. Shouting and snarls in the air, the tang of blood from wounds. These people were half animal, and some more animal than human, so I was careful around them. My movements were graceful and slow lest anyone get some bright idea to assault me - but I had a deal with the leaders here and I was loath to break it off just yet. Besides, the excitement in the air seems to seep into my pale skin and I jerk my head to try and get my frizzy, black hair out of my eyes. I simply wore loose jeans and a casual purple t-shirt today, setting my favorite satchel on an overturned crate as I dug in for my potions and salves.

Many of the Arks inhabitants had begun to use my stuff for fights or just to speed up healing. They recognized me by now and the curiosity that was a witch in their presence faded. So now I set to work, grinning at each were-creature that walked by and wiggling my fingers at my stuff while trying to talk up the effects it had. Who would take the bait?
