    The West

The western part of the city is often home to the poorer residents. Here there is a certain grunge that permeates the town from the graffiti on the once cleaned brick buildings to the broken and unmaintained architecture. Crime runs high within the western half of town, making it the home of supernatural gangs of illicit activities. Such activities are rarely reported however, and most residents are distrustful of individual's of authorities, instead letting the powerful supernatural beings sort things out amongst themselves. Be careful wandering the Western streets after the sun falls.

    Noah's Ark

Resting upon the harbor, Noah's Ark appears to be little more than an abandoned cargo ship. Accessible from an entrance hidden in the shadows, The Ark is a veritable Were-playground that specializes in fighting tournaments for all creatures great and small. With both singles and doubles tournaments to compete in, the title of Ark Champion is hotly contested amongst the Were population. If anything illegal is going on in the city it's sure to be happening within the back rooms or behind the ring-side bar.

Henry listened to Raven as she chastised him for not wanting to change or refusing to. He simply sighed as he looked up at her. “I cannot help the fear I feel. I’m trying…I’m trying to at least learn to control myself so I don’t go fucking up more lives than I already have. I’m not half-assing this. If I was, I wouldn’t be here. I could have easily just ignored what I did.” He could feel the growl reverberate in his throat before he let itself out unchecked. He hated what he had done to Sterling and she was only pissing him off. He was trying to learn to control himself so he wouldn’t hurt anyone else. He didn’t have to like his animal half, but he was at least trying to control it. He may not have asked to be a were, but he was trying his best to make lemonade out of the shit he had been dealt. It might not be the best-tasting lemonade, but it was at least better than the ingredients he had been given.

Henry followed the forms of the others as they began to exit the Ark and headed towards the beach. He watched as Tobias shifted in mid air, his clothes shredding and falling into a heap on the sand as he landed. He watched with envy as the other began to run down the beach with what appeared to be a sense of pure freedom. He wished he could one day feel like that. He hoped that he could control his shifts like Tobias, being able to perform stunts and simply show off. Maybe in time when he grew accustomed to his feline form. For right now, he was just terrified of shifting in general. He was afraid he was going to look like a fool because he couldn’t do so on command…and also that he couldn’t even control himself.

Henry watched Tobias and Raven shift and run off with one another. It was clear of the relationship between the two of them. They were an off pair, alright, but he supposed they worked. He hung back, walking just behind Tetradore. He was still not excited about shifting…or losing control, but he wouldn’t back out. It was a full moon after all, he was going to end up shift regardless. At least tonight he was with his pack.

He came to the stone wall and the two of them halted just for a moment. Henry took a deep breath as Tetradore began to remove his clothing. It was now or never. Slowly, he began to remove his clothing, folding it neatly and setting it on the stone wall. He had never been one who was comfortable getting naked in front of someone else he wasn’t going to fuck, but he tried to keep his thoughts clear and innocent. He could not afford himself any further embarrassment.

Henry paused when Tetradore turned towards him. He did as he was instructed, closing his eyes as he took a calming breath. As he tried to focus on the sound of the ocean, the feel of the sand, or the sound and feel of the gentle evening breeze. It was during this calm reflection that he felt the animal. He knew it was Tetradore’s doing. He could sense the control the cat had. It was frightening. But he had to trust Tetradore. And when he finally nodded that he was ready, he felt Tetradore pull the animal from him.

His bones began to break and remodel, the pain still severe. But Henry said nothing. Only the grimace on his face was testament that shifting was still so very new to him. But the moment his paws sunk into the ground, he lost control. The feline took over, despite how hard he was trying to domineer. The cat was just far too strong.

Blue eyes locked onto the other feline, a growl emitted low in his throat as his body lowered to the ground in an attempt to get into a more favorable position to pounce. The cat simply saw another male and it’s instinct was to fight. But despite the actions of the cat, Henry was still buried deep, still trying to take hold. Unlike before where Henry was lost and nowhere to be found, Henry was just barely in the back of the animal’s consciousness.
