    The West

The western part of the city is often home to the poorer residents. Here there is a certain grunge that permeates the town from the graffiti on the once cleaned brick buildings to the broken and unmaintained architecture. Crime runs high within the western half of town, making it the home of supernatural gangs of illicit activities. Such activities are rarely reported however, and most residents are distrustful of individual's of authorities, instead letting the powerful supernatural beings sort things out amongst themselves. Be careful wandering the Western streets after the sun falls.

    Noah's Ark

Resting upon the harbor, Noah's Ark appears to be little more than an abandoned cargo ship. Accessible from an entrance hidden in the shadows, The Ark is a veritable Were-playground that specializes in fighting tournaments for all creatures great and small. With both singles and doubles tournaments to compete in, the title of Ark Champion is hotly contested amongst the Were population. If anything illegal is going on in the city it's sure to be happening within the back rooms or behind the ring-side bar.

i'm not ashamed of my scars, i'm ashamed of the world for not understanding.

Tonight there was no need to stay inside Tetradore’s room and finish any lingering paperwork for the business. Business was going quite well, especially now that Tetradore was back. With him absent for months being dead the business rested upon her shoulders to stay afloat. Of course she didn’t have to worry about the Ark. Weres would continue to come, and they would come in droves to be in the place where he roamed and lived. She had grown accustomed to hearing patrons whisper their condolences or shout out their praise for the green-eyed man. She had to worry about the side business, at least the legal ones. Raven still had no idea that there were other businesses Tetradore was involved in. Some of their business partners were willing to stick around with her in charge, trusting their past successful changes and expecting more in the future. Others threw her into high hurdlers expecting her to run around and accomplish impossible tasks, expecting her to fail so that they had an out. Sometimes she failed and other times she did not. Of course there were some that were not wiling at all to continue with her taking the helm...and although it wasn’t her fault she still felt shame. Luckily she had done a very good job and when Tetradore returned those that remained were rewarded and those that didn’t, well they suffered.

Instead of working on the paperwork she was busy helping Jackal and the rest of the staff manage the betting. With the latest fight done her ears were pounding as she heard the exuberant shouts from those that won money and the groans of distraught by those that lost money. Raven was overwhelmed by the amount of Weres that came up to her to place their bet for the next round. This particular round was quite special. There was a new team of two that were rising through the ranks quickly, and tonight they were up against a seasoned duo that had more wins under their belt. Easily she took the money speaking softly to the Were-Falcon on staff, the man hurriedly writing down the names and bets. Easily the woman would walk through the throng of Weres remaining calm as they brushed up against her. Hearing the sound of the bell going off signaling that all bets were done she sighed with relief. As the ring was being cleared away for the next fight Raven walked over towards the bar exchanging her money bag to the accountant that was already prepping the next bag with different bills.

Blue-grey eyes surveyed the bar for a moment as she attempted to catch her breath. Although there was a familiar looking figure sitting along the bar looking a bit, well, not interested on the ring. Muttering to one of the girls on staff she gestured to the money and then over to Henry. Quietly she walked over towards the familiar looking male giving him a shy smile. The sleeves of her hoodie were up bearing the various scars that crisscrossed up her arms, evidence that there were more hidden underneath her clothing. Eventually she would make her way towards him standing in front of him, not bothering to turn her head as she heard Jackal speaking aloud, preparing the fighters and spectators for the next round. Her voice was calm and light as that shy smile remained on her marred face, attempting to see what the new member within their misfit group was here for.

“They always get this excited when the top fighters come out. Are you here to see Tetra or are you just trying to get more familiar with everything here?”
