    The West

The western part of the city is often home to the poorer residents. Here there is a certain grunge that permeates the town from the graffiti on the once cleaned brick buildings to the broken and unmaintained architecture. Crime runs high within the western half of town, making it the home of supernatural gangs of illicit activities. Such activities are rarely reported however, and most residents are distrustful of individual's of authorities, instead letting the powerful supernatural beings sort things out amongst themselves. Be careful wandering the Western streets after the sun falls.

    Noah's Ark

Resting upon the harbor, Noah's Ark appears to be little more than an abandoned cargo ship. Accessible from an entrance hidden in the shadows, The Ark is a veritable Were-playground that specializes in fighting tournaments for all creatures great and small. With both singles and doubles tournaments to compete in, the title of Ark Champion is hotly contested amongst the Were population. If anything illegal is going on in the city it's sure to be happening within the back rooms or behind the ring-side bar.

Why on earth he seemed capable of remembering that apparently cranky dark hunter and not the witch Raven seemed to favour he hardly knew and yet somewhere within that complicated muddle of thoughts that combined to form the constructs of his mind he was assured he recalled that other man. That blonde hair and those near golden eyes. Why he seemed so significant the boy could hardly guess. Tobias as willing to dismiss the idea of it as it seemed Raven was in turn and yet truly the young man could hardly help but wonder if this fellow who so didn’t like anyone was destined to be present at their own wedding. He supposed he was, after all, if he was Serafina’s boyfriend. Well- at least their wedding would not at all be a dull affair in any sense. The leopard waving such thoughts away with pleasure and that simple nod of understanding in regards to that young witch herself that Raven seemed to favour so much. Surely he could make some effort to get on with that being couldn’t he? Hopefully he could. That sudden soft squeeze to his hand had a way of drawing his thoughts away from that internal consideration he seemed almost prone to in these rare moments of clarity. The young man allowing his light gaze to fall back upon her then as that soft grin seemed to find her lips in the wake of that soft gesture of reassurance.

It was more meaningful then perhaps she realised. Those offered words of reassurance that he hardly held her back. Tobias almost assured that was all he did- to all of them- his entire family and yet perhaps he simply did not afford himself enough credit. In the very least, he supposed, it was possible that he did not fully understand his other half in the fashion that other half likely did not understand him. That wildness and volatility for anyone and anything was a side to himself he hardly favoured and yet he had survived because of it. That very being he so often was- while largely out of control it seemed- was also a distinctly skilled survivor in every sense of that word. That other being was cunning, clever and yet loyal to a fault. People seemed to adore him, despite his short comings, some part of that creature he was apparently appealing to others and perhaps he simply need accept that- even if he might never understand it. That acceptance not truly as easy as he had anticipated upon hearing that plethora of difficulties it seemed he caused and yet, if Raven could accept him, then why shouldn’t he? Perhaps, today, he had taken more steps towards that than ever before. Tobias leaning abruptly over to allow his lips to press to her forehead in that moment of affection though he hardly offered any words to explain it. That gesture alone enough for now as they arrived at that store.

Tobias, it seemed, hardly having considered that clothing might prove to be an issue. It was almost foolish perhaps, when he really paused to consider it. Clothing something he should have thought off and yet how typically, well, male of him not too. Raven at least seeming willing to take up that idea of shopping, Tobias willingly allowing himself to be lead across the mall and into that new store. The man rather noticeably taken aback by the sheer amount of clothing available in that singular space. What did Raven like? What did she even normally wear? What colour did she want? Maybe it was fortunate he hadn’t tried to pre-plan any sort of outfit for the woman. Tobias rather willing to admit this skill of choosing clothing was significantly outside his own ability. His gaze drifted back to the young woman at her assurance that they rarely shopped together. Raven taking care of most of those clothing needs and merely bringing him those outfits when he required them. What on earth he had done before he had found the woman he near dreaded to think. Had he even had clothes? He was almost pleased to consider that leopard skin in that moment. Clothing hardly mattering in that form.

“Thank you for doing it for me.”

That smile found his lips easily then, his attention shifting suddenly to one of those store mannequins and the v-neck shirt and hip-hugging jeans that adorned it. Tobias entirely sure Raven would look good in that. She had exactly the right sort of body for it. The man unable to help himself considering that very possibility before at least forcing himself to offer something a little more modest- even if he hardly wanted her to choose it. His hand pointing to several of those other outfits then, Raven suggesting some were for younger people and some were for much older people.

“Oh.”

Well, perhaps he wasn’t exactly good at this. The man slightly disappointed she had not chosen those more figure hugging clothes and yet, he supposed, he would rather her be comfortable in something of her own choosing for those pictures. Nor did he want anyone else looking at those pictures with too much enjoyment. Yes- modest clothing was better, much better. The gangly young man followed behind her almost like a shadow for some fear he might somehow get lost in that sea of colours and clothing and fabrics he didn’t understand. Raven suddenly turning to face him as he eyed a pair of pants he was mostly sure were an offense to the eye. The woman standing on her tiptoes to press her lips to his own in that stolen kiss before pushing back some of that hair from his eyes- that phone pressed in to his hand with those ideas for engagement photos, that inquisitive look offered to her now as he glanced downward to swipe through those photos. The man eyeing those sensible outfits and smart blouses the women seemed to be wearing. His initial choices perhaps not exactly right when compared to this.

“What about this? Do they have something like this?”

He turned that phone around once more to show her that pair of dark dress pants and modest but pretty light coloured blouse that had been paired with it. His gaze lifting to search that store, the man attempting to avert his eyes from those women’s undergarments. God, but he wasn’t ready for that yet.

“You’d look great in that.”
