East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

The approach of their host is met with naught but a wavering and halfhearted smile as Isolt curls her delicate fingers around the perspiring neck of the beverage he offers. She accepts this show of camaraderie simply out of propriety, for she has long since stumbled upon the quite disheartening discovery that her undead body would no longer tolerate the nourishment that was once human eatables. Long ago would the agony of starvation been erased from her withering form had circumstances allowed. And so she merely looks on, crystalline eyes focused solely on the grey of her companion's as he quickly and effortlessly imbibes the contents of the murky brown bottle.

Before the delicate redhead is proffered any opportunity within which she might question Damon on his ability to tolerate such things, the entirety of the house is plunged into momentary darkness before the glare of strobe lights flickers harshly against Isolt's sensitive pupils. Damon's whisper curls against her ears in a titillating auditory tango, and yet hesitation remains etched into every weary line that traverses her otherwise pleasant features. Ivory teeth rake lightly against the plump and blushed cushion of her lower lip as the young vampire peers about the bodies that have begun writhing, some of them oozing shameless sexuality, before returning to the calming neutrality of the two grey pools. "Fine," the auburn-haired girl concedes with a soft sigh, placing her unopened libation upon a nearby counter before leaning in to whisper her own request into the dwindling space which separates them. "Dance with me." And, it would seem, that this timid request is all the young woman has for him as she retreats towards the pulsating crowd; the oceanic blue of her eyes seems to sparkle even in the disingenuous lighting, their surfaces never once deviating from him, a demure and beautiful smile tugging at the brims of her lips.

Evidence of the damage that constant and merciless hunger have wrought bellows from the slow movements of Isolt's body, the lines of exhaustion and malnourishment that hint just beneath the surface of eyes that are still somehow enchanting. The sway of the music overcomes her, easing her body into a tantalizing and pleasant rhythm, the curves of her frame accentuated; dancing had always been one of Isolt's greatest pleasures, and for a moment delicate lids descend over her eyes... for a moment she forgets every worry, forgets the dark and endless abyss that gapes within her, forgets all of the bodies that twist and gyrate around her save for one. She can feel Damon not far off, and in truth his proximity is perhaps the only reason that Isolt relaxes into the music so entirely. For a time she moves about peacefully, the fluidity and grace of her motions homage to the delight she gleans from the activity, before the sensation of eyes upon her crawls against the pallor of her flesh as some creeping insect.

It takes naught but a moment to discern the origin of such a sensation, glistening blue eyes falling upon Chaz, leaning haughtily against a far off wall that is cast in shadow as if the probing lights dared not reveal him. The young man eyes the pair, the glances he throws them at once contemplative and predatory. Timidly, Isolt turns to her counterpart, craning her neck to whisper into his ear. "I think we have an audience," she offers simply, motioning covertly to the gentleman hunkered into the shaded outskirts. Hesitation grips her then, deeply ingrained decorum colliding with a hunger that it seems can no longer be ignored or cast aside... for her body nearly cringes with want, with need. And then, in a tone that is offhandedly pleading, "How do I do it?"
