The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

With one hundred floors and a 125-foot spire, the Starlight Tower rises high above the Sacrosanct skyline. More than just a landmark, the Starlight Tower offers a unique mix of restaurants, shops, and offices spaced throughout the building. Organized into nine verticle zones, each of which features a sky lobby and a light-filled garden atrium which merge the upscale interior with a faux landscaped exterior setting.
It had certainly been a long day for the young, brunette witch, though it was proving that her day was far from over. She'd grown her talent at a young age, proving that she was more than capable of the real magic she was gifted with. However, that was hardly how she liked to make her money, at least not to the more... mundane citizens of Sacrosanct. Sure, there were plenty of humans that knew of the supernatural world within the city â€" even more so now that that dreadful Vampire had publically announced his run for major as a vampire â€" but just as there were plenty that knew about them, there were so many who were naïve to the supernatural world. The ones who wandered through the glittering shops and looked at the potion bottles with wonder. Elanora... well, she liked those the best. Those patrons were the easy ones, the clever young witch able to scam them out of money with the reading of a few tarot cards or the sale of potion bottles that contained nothing more than water. But oh, they glittered, and the apparent 'witch' had claimed it would give them extra energy.
As if.
But they were naïve, often tourists, that saw the glittering store fronts that lined the Eastern district and felt drawn to the illusionary magic that some simple interior decorating provided and felt pulled to the witch's shop. But that's all it was. No magic was performed on the mundanes â€" and why should she waste her energy? â€" just illusions, nothing more than party tricks. And yet they paid her out the nose for it. It was enough of an income to support the girl's store front and the apartment she rented out above it. Enough for her to live very comfortably. Of course, it didn't help that she sold other things too, to those who were more like herself looking for more. But ah, that was kept a secret, a strict in the know situation lest the Hunters become interested in her. As it was, they left the girl with a talent for tarot cards alone.
The day today had been filled with tourist men and women who had been drawn into her shop in the hopes that they would be told their troubles would soon go away, their love lives would settle out, or they would suddenly stumble into a load of money that would make them rich beyond their wildest dreams. Elanora liked to think that she was good at reading what they wanted to hear, and even better at telling them the things that would make them most happy. It was good for business, though she had to admit that she loved flipping them on their toes once in awhile. Telling a man desperate to hear that the woman he lusted after would be a relationship only filled with despair was certainly the highlight of her day. Watching as the man's face fell and his shoulders slumped had only brought her joy, though her face remained carefully masked with the apparent sorrow she showed the man. It was all a game, a way to pay the bills. Nothing serious, nothing noteworthy.
But ah, just because she liked to sell the scented water in the pretty bottles for a quick profit didn't mean she didn't have a talent for it. No, quite the opposite. What really got her through her day was the end of her long work hours when she could turn off the lights in the front of her shop and retire to the back room to make the potions. Those were her passion, though she rarely sold them. No, she collected them, saving them for those that could really pay for them. Why should a human get the things she'd worked so hard on? What would that prove?
The woman had just flipped the sign on the window from open to closed when she heard the familiar jingle of the door opening. With a huff, she turned herself towards the door. "I'm closed," She said firmly, eying the man who had entered her shop. "You'll have to come back tomorrow to buy your love potions."
