The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

Kato Buhari
Kato's gaze finally slid from the knickknacks surrounding him to land on the witch, watching her move about the counter with relative disinterest. He had never been afraid of anyone in his life...except perhaps his mother when she had found out he went after a Hunter at the tender age of 7. Of course his mother had been grateful and proud that Kato had protected his little sister from the Hunter but he had walked away from the lecture more terrified of her wrath should he do it again more so than of the silver machete that had lanced his side. He ended up repeating his offense several times anyways though mostly to ordinary poachers. So the fact that the slight woman in front of him ceased to make him even glance twice wasn't unusual. His gaze didn't even flicker to the door that she mentioned her absurd rules were posted on. "I would say no shirt is the least of your concerns when it comes to many Weres. They could have no pants as well." He shrugged lackadaisically knowing full well many would be going nude were it not for the social constructs that non-humans upheld. Kato himself had been known to run around starkers for the better part of his youth but as he matured so had it been deemed he wear pants so as to not frighten the humans they may run across.
He didn't care to elaborate on why he was there beyond fishing out his gardening project and presenting it to her. Kato was just fine keeping the conversation to business. He had had no intention of handing it over to her but her deft fingers snatched it from him unexpectedly. It was unordinary for someone to do so so he was unprepared for such a blatant action. However, Kato did attempt to put on his best behavior and simply pursed his lips to keep from retorting at her as she examined the product. He could tell she was interested and eyed her as she reached for the register drawer and began to pluck money from it. Only to place $30 on the counter. Kato's brows furrowed at the money which seemed to mock him there on the glass before turning his attention back to the witch.
His good behavior was wavering with his quickly vanishing patience. If the witch thought she could outsmart him then she had another thing coming and perhaps needed to see that he wasn't some push over off the street. In the same fashion that he demonstrated his power towards Frost, the foundation of the shop quaked causing the trinkets to clink and rattle in threat to fall. He was careful to unleash only enough to disrupt the ground without actually splitting it. "When they said you were tricky I expected some bargaining but that is just robbery." Kato gruffed sharply at her as he shook his head and outstretched his hand to take the bags back. He may have more where that came from but he was by no means going to accept so little of an offer. His wish to take Edie out would not be accomplished by taking such a low offer; it would only hurt his pride, and then he would be worse off than even before. No, he wouldn't let that happen. "That's worth $100 easily on the black market. No one else around here carries it or is able to supply it very easily. I've done my research. If you're not going to pay me for it then I'll go to that other witch in town and let her have the prize of being the new owner of it."
