East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

The Witch was finding herself rather annoyed by anyone who came into her shop as of late, even the patrons that were attempting to buy something. The Were man that had strode into her shop was proving to be no different, and it was enough to cause the woman to be rather annoyed by the very existence of the man as he seemed to be obsessed with touching things in her shop. "You'll find the witty banter in this shop comes from me alone, Were." She said coolly, moving to stand behind the counter and begin counting the money as though she was hardly bothered with his existence in the slightest. Still, she watched him carefully, making sure he didn't touch anything. Weres were idiotic creatures, and the witch was sure she would rather have a bull in her shop than one Were-creature. "I don't know if you've noticed or not, but I've dismissed you a few times now. Need I show you the door?"

And once again, the idiot proved that he couldn't listen as he stepped closer to her once more, pulling out the two bag fulls of items with the insistence that he wanted to sell to her. As if he had anything worthwhile, was the first thought that went through her mind, though she admitted only to herself that that was wrong immediately as her eyes focused on the flowers he presented her with. She wasted no time in snatching it out of his hands, determined that she get him in and out as quickly as possible so she could get some real work done tonight â€" perhaps with the ingredients that he had presented her with. It was clear by his actions that it was the first time he'd sold, and as such she was sure he would be naïve enough to take the lowballed offer she placed on the counter in front of him. She kept the bag in her hand as she put the three ten dollar bills on the counter, watching him carefully to gauge his reaction to it. She knew it was worth more than that, she wasn't naïve, and yet she was utterly convinced that he was.

The anger that flashed on his features was satisfying, though she was given no time to adjust her offer â€" or even consider doing so â€" before the ground beneath her began to shake. It was surprising, though the girl offered no indication that she was phased by it other than the quirk of her brow. When the ground stopped shaking, she merely afforded him a sigh and a shake of her head. "If you're quite done she commented, though she didn't finish her sentence as she listened to him, a smirk appearing on her features. "I'm glad to see my reputation preceded me." She held the bag in her hand, clearly having no desire to give it back. She considered upping the offer as the man huffed and puffed like the big bad wolf at the price he thought he should be offered. "If you had someone to sell it to on the black market, you wouldn't have come here to me, knowing I would do this to you," She commented, placing the baggie in her pocket as she opened the register once more, pulling out a few twenties to add to her pile. She laid the $90 on the counter, crossing her arms as she eyed him. "That's all I'm giving you for it. If it turns out to be good, I'll consider giving you more than that. But nothing more until I've made a potion out of it." She looked at the Were easily, challenging him to argue. "What else do you have, Were? You're not naïve. I suppose you have more where this came from."
