Truly she was. She understood why she was abused, but she didn't understand why they would be willing to do that. Shouldn't the love of a parent to a child be more prominent? Apparently not. That he too suffered through whatever hellish experience with his own was sad, but it did show the young woman that maybe that would help her trust him. Quietly she takes a sip of her drink wishing that perhaps she could have a little bit more, if only to settle her nerves. It is when the sound of the door opening that brought that fear right on back. Terrified she huddle closer into the shadows hoping that the shadows would help block her. As they started coming closer she went rigid, controlling her breathing. Looking back over to him she is puzzled as to why he is staring at them and smiling. He needed to not do that. He needed to ignore them. He was going to get her caught. She causally turned her head to see that the Dark Hunters were watching them. A very soft growl was released, the girl responding to her fight and flight stimuli. His next inquiry caused her to shake her head. He shouldn't kill all these innocent people here. The Dark Hunters needed to be dealt with. Quietly the shadows within the bar began to twist and turn slinking across the floor, the lupine was trying to prepare herself and others. Suddenly the shadows began to expand, flaring up as she heard people shout in awe, fear or shock. Her shadows were meant to be used in a way to defend others, and that was what she was doing. She was using her shadow armor to defend them, defend herself, and defend the man before her from the Dark Hunters. Raven's voice would enter and press into the were-lion's, her voice steady, but rushed.
Grabbing her glass she tossed the rest of the amber liquid down. The barstools and tables would suddenly begin to lift upwards, causing the patrons to shriek as she threw them towards the Dark Hunters. Bottles flew off the shelves behind the bar, the sounds of glass shattering to the floor seemed to encourage the patrons to scream at a higher octave. The Dark Hunters were blinded and confused by the patrons rushing out and variety of items being thrown to them as the shadows thickened and increased. Suddenly the woman began to shift into her wolf form. Snarling as she leapt and ran towards the doors, using the shadows to swarm around her, as she tried to flee. The sounds of guns going off behind her. She hoped the man she left behind was safe. She hoped that he wouldn't harm those that were innocent.
