Neat party trick. Mazikeen sauntered toward the fire girl, drawn toward her from the moment she'd entered the bar. From far in the corner, the dark huntress had watched her. She'd marveled at the way Eshek's hips swayed effortlessly to the music, at the wild look in her eyes, hungry like a ravenous wolf's. Maze knew people â€" she knew how to read them, how to appeal to their desires. But Eshek wasn't people, she was something far more volatile, far more mysterious. And Maze was drawn to mystery.
I don't believe we've met before... Mazikeen. She extended a slender hand to the girl, not betraying the fact that she'd only been in town for mere days. In truth, Mazikeen hadn't met anyone yet.... But the fire temptress seemed a good enough place to start.
Motioning to the bartender, the leather-clad huntress ordered a beer â€" dark and strong. She settled easily onto a barstool near the sorceress, leaving enough space for comfort between them, letting the music wash over her as silence fell easily between them. It was enough for several moments for both women to sip at their drinks, letting the time of the world slip by.
Her leather boots clicked against the rungs of the barstool as she tapped them to the music, turning back to her companion as the song changed. Are you from around here? Got any recommendations? I've only been to a couple places before, but this watering hole seems good as any. The poor girl was hardly adept at small talk, but offered Eshek something of a smile as she waited to see what came next.
