North

Within the Northern vicinity of the city, the wealthy gather behind meticulously trimmed hedges and high-class architecture. The pristine streets are paved with stone and the storefronts are brightly lit and inviting - for the right clientele. In the North, every establishment is eager to cater to the rich and the wealthy. Many such places are used to the sometimes peculiar requests of the otherworldly but here there is little that money cannot buy - whether it happens to be illegal or merely involves looking the other way. Vampires and Dark Hunters are often found upon these Northern streets, their long lives often contributing to their sizable wealth which allows them the luxuries that the North provides.

This man was far more broken than her dear Sebastian. What had happened to make vampires forget what they were? To try and be human again, as if they could live like them, be accepted by them. There would always be hatred from humans, suspicion...racism no matter how much they hid behind those fake accepting smiles. In the end, they hated anything not human. That very hatred rested even among their own species. Surely that was indication enough for other species to see how regrettable the human species was.

Anna tilted her head at Dareios, eyeing his watch as he spoke of some team to detain her. If he was trying to scare her it fell on deaf ears. There was very little that frightened the age old vampire. The only real reaction from the vampire was when he rambled on about being weak. A wicked smirk spread across her features. "Oh, but I am an animal. And so are you. We are predators who feed off the lesser food chain. Supernaturals are the strongest of them all. We evolve every day with abilities humans could only dream of. Humans are the weak, the bottom of the chain, and you are the fool who denies what you really are." It was perhaps the most lucid Anna-Marie had been in anything she said for quite some time. This position of supernaturals not accepting what they were perhaps a topic she felt strongly on.

Still, Anna took a few steps away from Dareios. It was clear however when she stopped it wasn't to get away from him but to step closer to the shadows. The shadows which began to gather and churn at her feet like a living entity. "You know you finally felt free when you let go and ran as you were intended to do."
