Malek Ackerman
You're my water. You're my wine.
It was clear Arlo had many questions, the vampire could see it in the young man's eyes before he started rattling them off. As much as Malek would have enjoyed sharing his knowledge of the coven, he could also see the hunger that so lurked within him. The blood of the wildlife had only made the man sick and Mal was without a doubt that the younger vampire would soon be making more mistakes; such as taking down vampires far older than him that weren't him. Listening patiently to Arlo's inquiries, he raises a hand before he can get himself too wrapped up in it, "I will answer all of your questions in due time," he says, the corner of his mouth quirking up into a smile.
It was then he pierced his own flesh and allowed Arlo access to his blood.
It was true, he could see the self-control in the man practically vanish as his eyes narrowed in on the blood that beaded to the surface. It was something Malek had, had centuries to work on, if someone wanted to train themselves to not lose control, well, the ancient knew better than anyone that it was possible.
Allowing his hand to rest on his shoulder, he notes the sound of appreciation that rises from Arlo's throat and Malek simply offers an encouraging smile even when the young man grasps his arm firmly. As the time drags on he finally allows his hand to squeeze Arlo's shoulder letting him know that it was enough. There is a pause in the vampire's feeding and Malek is sure he's going to release him even when that flicker of uncertainty dances through his eyes. What does have Malek arching his brows in surprise is that warning growl.
Letting the humor vanish from Malek's features, he increases his pressure on his shoulder, "Boy, do not test me," he says, his voice dropping an octave in an utterly commanding voice, even more forceful than before. When the boy refuses to release him and instead grips him tighter, Malek emits a snarl; one that started deep in his throat and hissing through his teeth in a threatening manner. The elder vampire hadn't growled at someone in years, but that very animalistic side in him leapt at the challenge in Arlo.
Blinking in surprise at himself, he allows that fog of red to vanish from his vision before he returns his attention back to the younger man. With Arlo's feeding, he could feel the beginning effects of loss of blood, something Malek didn't particularly enjoy. "Last warning Arlo..." he trails off as the beginnings of a simper start to form on Mal's face. When he notes that there is no change in the vampire, perhaps just more vigorous feeding, he simply shrugs his shoulders. Calling upon his power deep within him he throws it at Arlo with easily double the force he had used on him earlier. He was aware that if he charged anymore of Arlo's hormones, he would have the boy on his knees before him, weeping with lust.
As fun as it would be to tease him later about it, the ancient refrains. He wasn't a cruel man though he did rather enjoy teasing the younger vampire.
As he begins to note the signs of his magic taking ahold, Malek grins brightly down at him, "Well, I did warn you." Though humor dances in his eyes, he was aware that Arlo's fangs were still very much buried in his skin, so he holds his magic there in hopes it will deter the vampire from taking anymore. The last thing he needed was that venom injected in him. With the short explanation of Arlo's power, Malek wasn't entirely sure he could control his own powers in a state of such... carefreeness. In which case, he was also worried it might unleash that dark beast he kept so chained up deep down in him. Pushing the dark thoughts away quickly, he didn't want to have even a moment of uncertainty, he returns his attention to Arlo waiting, that infinite patience returning to settle within his aurora.
You're my whiskey. From time to time.
