North

Within the Northern vicinity of the city, the wealthy gather behind meticulously trimmed hedges and high-class architecture. The pristine streets are paved with stone and the storefronts are brightly lit and inviting - for the right clientele. In the North, every establishment is eager to cater to the rich and the wealthy. Many such places are used to the sometimes peculiar requests of the otherworldly but here there is little that money cannot buy - whether it happens to be illegal or merely involves looking the other way. Vampires and Dark Hunters are often found upon these Northern streets, their long lives often contributing to their sizable wealth which allows them the luxuries that the North provides.

He agreed with Anna full heartedly that there was nothing wrong with being the monster they were created to be. He had accepted his fate as a vampire a long long time ago and that wasn't changing anytime soon. He was meant to hunt and taste fresh human blood straight from the vein. It's what they were built for so why not enjoy it? He wasn't going to spend his entire existence moping about what he is and trying to fight his own nature. He wasn't his brother, after all. Stefan had tried that whole "oh, I hate myself, won't someone kill me and put me out of this misery?" thing and hey, maybe the whole brooding thing works for him but Damon couldn't be bothered. He liked what he was and he wanted to stay alive. He wanted to enjoy the simple things, like hunting.

He listened as Anna told him Sebastian didn't hunt like other vampires. He nodded in acknowledgement. "Some just can't accept what they are. It's sad, really." Pity shone in his eyes as he sighed and shook his head. He could tell Anna wasn't too happy as she stated that she had to pretend not to hunt anymore. He nodded but kneeled down to her eye level. "Just remember, it's only pretend. You just have to be more discreet about where you hunt and who sees you. Think of it as a game of hide and seek." His lips tugged into a mischeveious smirk, hoping she'd catch on. But she was growing impatient, saying she didn't want to learn right now, she wanted to eat. He could understand that, his lips tugging into a grin now as she took a door off the hinges and startled the businessmen behind it. He chuckled under his breath as he stepped in behind her, tilting his head in amusement at the two men.

At her question, he winked and moved to the closest man to him, so fast that the man could only yelp as he seemed to disappear from the doorway and suddenly appear behind him. "Well...if you insist." He purred as he then yanked the man's head to the side and sunk his fangs into his neck, drinking deep with low murmurs of appreciation.
