The young man's heart sank with that glimpse of confusion upon that nurse's features. That confirmation that she hardly knew who Henry was only furthered that grip of dread upon his heart. He felt as if he was going to be sick. A frown marred his features, even despite her willingness to go about tracking his boyfriend down for him and yet, Sterling found himself utterly at a loss. He was certain he remembered Henry being there when he awoke and yet, the man had just...left him? He couldn't even bother to be here? His gaze turned towards his lap before he shook his head ever so slightly. "No, it's okay." He muttered softly and yet, he could hardly help the way his own emotions seemed wholly out of balance. Before he even knew it, those bright blue eyes were glassing over with tears he made every effort not to spill. Sterling felt abandoned, even if he tried to reason with himself that Henry certainly cared enough of his welfare to ensure he got to that hospital. It had been Henry that had put him in that ambulance, hadn't it? It was that very thought that seemed to resonate on Miyako's mind too as the woman inquired on his own fuzzy memory of the evening before.

Sterling was silent for a moment as if he was uncertain of what to tell her. That truth of those injuries could certainly put Henry in danger. Though he hardly could deny how utterly hurt he felt, he still so desperately loved the man that to even chance any sort of harm coming to him was enough to make Sterling reconsider. "Um....sort of." He commented, biting his bottom lip as he tried to collect himself. Thankfully, the young woman seemed to understand his need for a moment to come to terms with all that he had been told, the woman standing with the announcement that he surely needed something to drink. It was only once the warlock was alone that he lifted that thin sheet over him, glancing down to the damage that had been done to his body. He could feel it, vaguely, that physical pain combined with that emotional distraught was certainly enough to cause those tears to trace down his cheeks as he leaned his head back. Without Henry, how was he going to pay for all of this?

It was that gentle knock at the door several moments that prompted the boy into action, the man reached up to wipe away that wetness, a final sniff given as that nurse entered one more. He offered her a weak simper, the man attempting, foolishly so, to hide from her the emotions that so tugged at him. It was that introduction, however, that further caught him off guard and yet, without Henry, he supposed it was very likely they had no idea who he was. It was that realization that prompted the man to provide her with his own name, only for a small frown to cross his features at her statement that he had arrived alone, his clothes lost in the process of all the hospital had to do to save his life. A soft sigh left his lips before he shook his head. "That's okay." He responded, entirely attempting to reassure her. After all, he was hardly terribly attached to them. It was that creak of the chair that drew his gaze towards her, the man simply watched her as she shifted, only to rise with yet another apology.

Sterling shook his head ever so slightly with a small glimpse of forgiveness and yet, it was that almost insistent press of his memories that prompted a sigh from the man. He glanced downwards at those sheets, his eyebrows wrinkled before he started in an altogether soft tone. "Please, he didn't mean it, please don't send the hunters after him." After all, he suspected well that the hospital knew what caused those wounds, just as he was wholly certain that they knew what he was. That silver hued blood that ran through his veins could hardly be merely ignored. Even so, he had no intention of turning his lover in, not until he was sure Henry would be safe....wherever he was.
