A sort of restlessness prowled within James tonight, he could hardly sit still within the confines of that mansion, nor could he be bothered with Ms. Dupont's antics anymore for the evening. So, he finds himself sitting at the bar in this upscale venue, his immaculate gray suit entirely free of any wrinkles and without any dust. No, it would just not do to not look his best, even if he was going to get a drink, alone at a bar. At the very least, he did not need to put on that charming demeanor as he had no plans to make those creatures suffer his wrath. At least for tonight anyways. A brooding expression so finds the Hunter's features as he scowls at his near empty glass in hand, the bar not stocking his preferred tastes of those much older liquors. James could do so much better within the confines of his mansion but still that restlessness prowled inside of him. Since arriving in Sacrosanct he had hardly managed to do anything worthwhile, allowing Lise to gorge herself on whomever she pleased. Even plans with his nephew were moving more slowly than he liked.
Reaching out for that nearly empty glass, he tilts his head back to polish off the rest of that dark liquid, almost grimacing at the harsh flavor. It was hardly smooth at all, not properly aged. His mind wanders to his own spread of liquor, a silent sigh even falling from those lips as he goes to wave down the bartender, only to find him absent. Frowning, those eyes travel down the bar only to see the man flirting with a new patron, a woman sliding into the stool a few seats away, her blonde hair carefully styled. Her scent hits him instantly, those heightened senses labeling her as something else entirely. He almost curls his lip up in disgust but thinks better of it, that male side of him still appreciating her beauty. It was such an interesting complex he had, wanting to eradicate those creatures from the earth, though, he was not above mingling with them.
Tonight, he doesn't know what he wants, perhaps more alcohol. So, he turns those dead eyes on the bartender, listening to him flirt with the woman as she quickly orders a martini, his features hardly shifting at all. He's entirely aware of the way other men glance at her, debating on approaching her but far too intimated by her beauty. His gaze travels the several men sitting along the walls, his nose crinkling in disgust as he returns his attention to his empty glass. Its then that the bartender returns, entirely distracted by the woman down the way, but he still manages to offer him another one. James gives a stiff nod, sliding the empty glass towards the bartender. It hardly takes the man long to retrieve him his new drink, quickly placing it in front of him and bustling off to cater to the woman's desires. Shrugging, he leans over the bar, his elbows finding the table as he begins to work on that new drink.
