Roisin didn't understand why the other girl rushed towards them at first, but when she saw how quickly the woman went back to whatever it was she was doing before that she realized that she approached the boss directly. It was unintentional, she just walked up to the first person she saw, and the blonde happened to be that person. A small smile was given to the girl as in apology before her attention moved back to the woman who spoke to her. She reached up to her shoulder and grabbed her duffel bags and placed them on the floor by her feet. A sigh of relief passed as her hands rested atop the desk, and she was finally able to gather herself. It's not like the question was very difficult, but with what happened to her just last night she felt a little bit off. She kept a smile on her face though, that's what she always did, and what she would probably always do. "It'll just be for me until I find a decently priced flat. The place I was staying yesterday wasn't in the best of areas, and I would very much like to avoid a situation like that again." Her hand was lifted again and she tucked a dark strand of hair behind her ear before offering that same sweet smile. Bright blue eyes studied the woman for a moment, she was clearly an attractive woman, and it seemed that she was studying Roisin just as closely. Her head tilted the slightest bit; it felt like an eternity they weren't saying anything to each other. It was then the blonde asked where she was from then called her 'little witch.' The brunette wasn't ashamed of whom she was, but she was still taken aback by being acknowledged as such. A slight step back was taken as she grabbed her necklace gently once again and held onto it for a few seconds. Another couple seconds of silence passed between them before she finally decided to answer the question. "I'm from Kilkenny; I just got here two days ago. Where are you from?" It was clear that the still unnamed woman wasn't the sweetest person in the world, but that didn't bother the Irish girl much. Not everyone could be kind like her, but that didn't mean she would just let someone talk to her as if she was someone to be played with. She knew she wasn't a very intimidating woman, but that didn't mean she couldn't stand up for herself. Last night wasn't something to compare it to, those men were something other than human, and Roisin wasn't so naïve as to believe otherwise. Bright eyes narrowed the slightest bit as she tried to figure out what exactly this woman was about, but one thing was for sure, Roisin wasn't the only witch in the building. A sigh passed her lips as she bent down and grabbed her bags and threw them over her shoulders once again. She quickly shook her hair back before light eyes met the blonde's once again and she studied her in silence for a couple more seconds. She wasn't sure what else to say, this woman was a bit intimidating, though Roisin would never admit it. She was never one to call for the center of attention, she was always the one in the background while her older sister stole the spotlight, and she was always okay with that. The woman had shone her own type of spotlight on Roisin now, and it was starting to make her feel a bit uncomfortable. The dancer shifted from one leg to the other, her eyes shifting to the woman who had rushed to try and help her just a few minutes earlier. "Look, I've had a long couple days. Can you please just get me into a room?" Her words were more firm than usual, and she knew that it meant the jetlag as long as everything else was starting to catch up with her. She didn't like taking her frustrations out on other people, she'd much rather meditate, dance, or play her violin. Another deep breath was drawn in then released as she forced herself to put a kinder tone in her voice and a sweet smile on her lips. She was far from being fake, but sometimes there were situations where you needed to put on a partial mask at least for a little while. |
