He could tell the woman lived a lavish life. Not from how she dressed or acted, but by the way she spoke. It was confident, understanding, and cultured. Although, there was one thing that the woman lacked. It seemed she had only reveled in one type of living, which was different from the average person. The way she presented herself, was entirely a new kind of ballpark for Ludo. In no way did he even exude the word, aristocratic. Let alone, be able to even understand that vivacious kind of life. It was in the moment he started to recognize this when their discussion on Naples came up in conversation. He was grateful he had spoke to someone who could understand where he grew up from, but he couldn't help but be saddened by the fact that they hadn't seen the city in the same light. "I bet it's beautiful by the bay at night. Next time you go, you should make your way through the city streets and indulge yourself in the rougher side of the city. There is where you'll find the greatest food and the most kind-hearted people," he smiled, somewhat poking a challenge back at her. "There are many angles to view one city. Naples has as many sides as a decahedron," he added, nodding his head in recollection. He was only privileged in seeing the city through eyes such as Vitani's when he was on his missions.
Part of Ludo's job required him to read people. Vitani, was one of the more difficult cases. After deciding to be careless and continue down the path they both were aiming for, he stopped trying to examine her. His attention now focused on the woman in front of him, whether the characteristics she possessed were genuine or not. He continued to be open and genuine to her. For him, he just needed a shoulder to lean on in a sense. The city was so isolating, and Ludo thought it was better to let things out than to keep them bottled in. In return of his sudden vulnerability, Vitani's lyrics rise in a soft purr stating that she was sorry that the city had been unkind to him so far and how tonight, might be the solution to the feeling of loneliness. Oh, how those kittenish tones shook Ludo to his core.
Vitani kept sending compliments left and right to Ludo. By now, he was filled to the brim with the confidence Vitani was feeding him. He had valued her comment on how his mother was a strong woman to which he casually replied, "Of course she is. She's an Italian woman," his eyes gleamed with appreciation towards her statement. Although, there was a sudden shift in her appearance as it slid from a caring, warm look to an appearance of seductiveness. What an odd change in looks when discussing someone's mother.
As Ludovino humors her, poking fun at the absence of finding love here, she notifies him that he'll be the first to know. There is a dull look in her peridot eyes for a moment he can't help but take notice in. It seemed that love was a humorous thing to her as well, perhaps for an entirely different reason. As the waiter sauntered over to ask them if there was anything else he could grab them before close, he peered down at his watch asking Vitani if she wanted to depart from the Voo-Doo Room. Vitani twirls her long silken blonde hair in a moment of contemplation. He noticed a smirk on her face as she asks if he would like to accompany her to Acosta heights for a night on a rooftop terrace. "It would be my pleasure," he smirked as he watched her stand from her chair only to waltz over in his direction, skate slowly down his shoulder as she let him know she wanted to get to know him better. She made him shuffle uncomfortably in his seat. She leaned closer, whispering coquettishly into his ear, withdrawing immediately to show a playful smile dance across her features.
Oh, how he fell foolishly into her plan. He raised out of his seat, reaching out his arm for hers to take and he immediately feels a smooth delicate hand intertwine around his arm like a python strategically moving in to capture its prey. They strode out of the establishment, both noticing the guffawed looks on the men around them all envious of who Ludo was going home with tonight. For him, it wasn't about winning Vitani over specifically. He was just a man who was offered his needs to be met tonight, it so happened to be that the woman was turning out to be...intriguing to him.
They had arrived at her place which to no surprise was extravagant and stylishly designed. He wondered if she had done the designing herself, or if it was from an interior designer. Everything was white. At first it reminded him of a hospital, it seemed to give off the vibe of being sterile. Usually by walking in to someone's home, you could understand their personality more. For hers it was unknown. Perhaps she was just a clean freak and wanted everything to be prim and proper or possibly she didn't want anyone understanding her deeper thoughts and traits. Nevertheless, he couldn't help but be impressed by the house. "What a lovely home," he complimented her as they took off their coats in the front hallway. "You'll have to give me a tour later," he flirtatiously stated as he placed his coat on the very fancy coat hanger that stood beside them. "Well, what shall we do first?" he asked her, curiosity and desire so obviously coating his glassy lyrics. |
