His eyes continued to wander around the Voodoo Room; glancing over the structure itself as well as the many patrons filling it. He took notice of a darkly dressed man sitting towards the back of the building, one who'd kept his gaze fixed on him the moment he walked in. He didn't quite look like a threat at present, but he was definitely someone Aaron would be keeping at least half an eye on. A few women caught his attention as well, but for completely different reasons. A hand touched down against the smooth wooden table he'd been sitting at. He'd watched part of her saunter towards his direction, finding some humor in the way she discarded her empty glass. Her words poured as easily into his ears as the whiskey went down his throat. She gets bonus points for boldness. His eyes race up and down her as he tries his best to suppress the upward curl of his lips. A few old sayings pop into his head, but he holds back any mention of them. He had no intention of being smacked across the face tonight, especially only the first sip in. Blues stopped and rested looking up into her amber eyes as he raised the glass once more to his lips. After he'd poured enough liquid down his throat he dropped the glass back down to the table top, it making a light clank as the two collided. "Think you can handle it?" His smirk grew instantly as did his anticipation to hear her quip back. Honestly he hadn't wanted to leave the bar just yet. He'd only just gotten here and there was no shortage of alcohol in the Voodoo Room. "Maybe after a few more." He pulled the glass back up, leaning his head back as he finished the remaining contents of the glass. He looked over to the barkeep signaling him for another glass to be brought over. His head rolled back towards the bold brunette as his free hand motioned for her to take a seat next to him. Quietly he questioned her art of asking strange men for things, but his drink had just arrived in the middle of this thoughts. He looked up at the barkeep as it was placed down beside him. "It would be best to just bring the bottle over." He let out a quiet sigh as he fixed his attention back onto the attractive brunette. Why did it always have to be the brunettes that did him in? I sold my soul... just so I could feel paid. I broke my heart... so I couldn't feel pain. I lost my faith... 'cause I can't justify the weight. I've got no hope... that's only for losers and fakes. |
