He does not appear to be all too chatty about the conditions of this old friend and so she does not press it any further.
Even in the face of her embarrassment, he still holds a cool demeanor, making an attempt to assure her that she is being no more foolish that she believes to be true. But that wink has her blushing all over again. "Oh please.. Any woman who does not drown herself in liquor these days is just a prude to society." She fires back with a casual laugh and yet she still thought this statement to be true. "Maybe I just need to stick with my bottle of wine at home from now on, though." Yes, it seemed much more refined and fitting to her tastes. Though she enjoyed her rare indulgences in other beverages - perhaps it is best to remain with what is tried and true. His smile brings a level of ease to her nerves, despite the fact that all of those should be diminished by the tipsy state in which she was in, and his response has her hopes rising from what failure she had accepted early on.
Nothing but a shy smile accents her features as he speaks and the sudden move of his palm toward her has her surprised. "If only you can make it last a while.." She replies softly, placing her hand delicately in his own as they rise to their feet and move away from the stools that line the bar. The music is barely audible through the other hushed sounds of the atmosphere and yet she did not care, she would dance to no music with this man if he wanted to. She hoped and wished that he was not stringing her along for some ultimate ploy and yet she was always one to fall hard and fast for someone so handsome and charming.
She is not entirely confident in her ability to keep up with him, even if she were sober, she was never very much coordinated as far as dancing went. But she will try to follow his movements and to remember the cycle of it all, her mind entirely focused on not slipping up in front of him and causing further humiliation for her own self. Though, after all that she has said thus far, she cannot imagine him to be off-put by her lousy dancing if he has enjoyed her company until this point in time. "I'm not very good at this.." The words are spoken along with a faint chuckle as she looks down to their feet, careful not to trip him up or to find herself falling over her own.
By now, the room has settled what conversations they had going on to watch the pair of them for a moment, perhaps shocked or intrigued by the fact that two strangers were dancing to classical music in the middle of the bar. But Rose did not care too much for their opinions, not when she was looking back into Erik's eyes, wishing to see the things that he did not disclose verbally. "You are entirely too charming to be from this day and age - are you a time traveler?" She joshed playfully, looking down to check on her footing again before looking back up, sweeping the hair from her eyes with a smile.
