![]() It was very hard to keep his hands to himself when he was around Amelia and with her in a skin tight dress, it only made it harder when he could already imagine all the dips and curves that fabric was sticking to under his fingertips. As they moved to the door, he listened as Amelia gave instructions to the staff on Tenley and his face immediately softened as it always did when his little girl was mentioned. Troy had never imagined himself as a father and especially not a doting father since his own was more absent than anything else, but he loved Tenley with every fiber of his being and he wouldn't take back anything that had to do with her for anything. He was glad she'd come into his and Amelia's life. She was perfect for them just as they seemed to be perfect for her. The staff also seemed to love the little vampire girl and he was glad Amelia had found people they could trust with their daughter's well being. When he made a suggestion, Amelia squeezed his hand and he smiled. He knew she already had it well in hand but he loved knowing his little girl was in good hands when they left for errands and date nights. As his fiance asked where they were going, he teased her, knowing full well that he wasn't going to tell her until they pulled into the parking lot. With a sigh, Amelia moved to get in the car and he watched her with thinly veiled admiration before getting in himself. As he started to car and listened to the perfect purr, he felt a hand on his thigh and everything in him tightened. Turning to give her a knowing look, a single brow lifted as she said she was famished, those predatory eyes of her telling him exactly what kind of food she was pertaining to. With a dry chuckle, he reached over to lightly caress down her side, his finger tips dancing along the outer edges of a breast before he drew his hand back. "As am I, love. We'll be there before you know it." Focusing back on the task at hand, he pulled onto the road, letting out a breath of relief when she withdrew her own hand after a tempting squeeze. At her question, his lips curved up. "No, at least, not with me. I wanted to make it special." He made the turns with care, knowing exactly where he was going without the use of a GPS or navigation system cause he knew she would cheat and glance at it. Instead he'd learned the path to their destination when he was supposed to be "hunting" so he could drive it without help when it was time to take her. They pulled around the outer edges of a lake on the outskirts of town and he followed the shoreline until an opening in the tree line up ahead finally gave a hint. There was a small parking lot in the trees but mostly everything was left to nature. White lights and lanterns decorated the trees all around to light up the night sky as rock paths were all that told you where to go. He found a parking spot with ease and moved around to her side to help her out, his eyes already twinkling with eagerness. "Well?" He motioned toward the nearest path after asking her first impression, before taking her hand and leading her down the path. At first it just looked like they were going down to the lake and should expect to see a dock or something up ahead but instead the water was all lit up on this side with tiny floating lights and the dock was a floating platform filled with tables and easily chatting people. It wasn't very crowded but the wait staff seemed to know exactly what they were doing. They flitted between the tables, taking orders and pouring champagne and wine. A few ventured around with platters of appetizers for customers to try at their own whim. As Troy led her to the podium, he nodded and gave his name, to which the man immediately checked him off the list and led them to their own table set near the center of the platform. He glanced over at Amelia often to gauge her reaction to everything, hoping he chose okay. The man showed them to their table and told them their waiter would be with them. As he excused himself, Troy held out a chair for her before taking a seat across from her. "I did a lot of research on this place before choosing, obviously. They cater to all supernaturals. Your menu should have something to your liking. They're considered five star dining for all species so let me know what you think." |
