audette rousseau
The ballerina was entirely capable of being astute when she chose to be, the man in front of her had thus far proven to be nothing if not terrible resolute when he put his mind to something. No, he would not give his wallet up even in the face of certain death. No, he would not visit a hospital even when his arm was profusely bleeding. And, most recently, no he would not allow her to see to the mess of his blood herself. It was, Audette had come to realize, utterly futile to attempt to convince him otherwise and so, instead, the young woman merely focused upon fixing what she could - namely ensuring that he hardly bled out...or at least that the extensive blood loss did not earn him the unwanted attention of a far too hungry vampire when he did leave her for wherever his path may take him. Audette, however, was nothing if not utterly diligent in her self appointed task, her attention upon her work steadfast as her fingers dexteriously wrapped his arm with the gauze she'd taken from her first aid kit. He hardly seemed to move as she worked, though Audette equally hardly seemed to notice either. That was, at least, until he teased her about missing her calling as a doctor.
Her insistence that she'd be nothing short of terrible was one hs was all too quick to refute and yet, Audette was certain that doctors did far too much sitting for her liking. That smirk on his features told her that he hardly agreed, so too did the lighthearted sarcasm that laced his face.
Now that was not a word she knew. For a moment, she repeated the very term, her brows furrowing in brief contemplation as he so strove to fill in the gasp, his very description of it, however, certainly strove to fill in that gap within her mind.
Nevertheless, Audette returned to him easily enough with both bottle and paper towels in hand, the man altogether quick to grab them, even with his word of appreciation as he quickly set off to see the floor, and her chair, both appearing as if they had hardly suffered the traumatic blood loss of a fae but moment's prior. With his work done, her newest companion turned to face her with an almost sheepish grin, one that she was quick to return with an altogether genuine simper.
