The vampire's phone buzzed incessantly in his pocket, but he was too enthralled with the tired, ailing doctor at the table to be bothered by much of it. Miya certainly had a way of captivating him - they'd been together for over an hour now - from the time he left the hospital to find her asleep on a park bench, his card in hand, to him escorting her home and now, about to convince her to drink his blood. It was a whirlwind of an hour, that much was for sure. And clearly, the mayor's handlers were perplexed by his notable and sudden absence. "One lesson at a time, my dear." The vampire quipped with a grin at her comment about turning humans to vampires. That gruesome process was a story meant for another day. But Dareios' beady, dark eyes followed her every move. He could feel the quickening of her heartbeat in her chest, almost as if it was his own. It made him salivate, and uncomfortable thoughts and feelings rise to the forefront of his mind and loins. But then she did it. He watched as she tenderly lifted the warm glass of tea, bringing it to her soft, curvy lips.... and she sipped. The vampire mayor exhaled greatly then, rolling his shoulders as he did so. A lopsided grin grew slowly across his own thin lips as he registered something new - something different - about them both. The hollowed areas under her tired eyes were gone. Her gaze was bright, her expression taunt and cheery. Darios, in turn, looked quite the same. But he felt different, because he could now feel her inside of him. Her excitement coursed through him as she stood from the table. Her newfound energy was explosive. "Careful now." He warned, as he pivoted in his seat, his eyes following her as she darted around the room. If Dareios wasn't undead, perhaps he would have blushed in this moment, catching her comment about wanting to suck his blood. "Humans find it quite intoxicating, but it can be addictive... like any other drug." As she leaned in to kiss him, the vampire instinctively froze. It wasn't until she danced away that a stiff, cold palm moved to cover his cheek where she had planted her lips. A slender, dark eyebrow rose at her offer, and he too, stood from the table. He smoothed out the lapels on his blazer before checking his phone. The illuminated screen offered up a series of missed calls and messages. He buried it back into his trousers pocket. "How about dinner?" Dareios Auerbach | Vampire | Vinyl |
