The energy that coursed through her veins was intoxicating, she felt like she was chasing a high, or at least, she thought that's what it felt like. Miya had hardly had anything to do with drugs in her short lifespan, the young doctor far too proper to do such things. In reality, the woman hardly knew how to stray from the path she was currently on, the most adventurous thing she had ever done was taking a sip of Dareios's blood. If exhaustion hadn't completely overwhelmed her, she doubted she would ever attempt such a thing and yet, how very glad she did. The feeling was addicting as she felt the pain leave her body, her pale cheeks flushing with life as she dances towards the mayor, only to plop a gentle kiss on his cheek. Such gratitude filled her in that moment, that she doesn't hardly realize she had actually kissed someone besides her late mother. A memory she would surely revisit later in embarrassment. "Careful? I feel like I'm invincible," she giggles, "I've never done drugs before, but I might ask you for some of your drugs again," she laughs again, feeling relatively free in front of him.
The doctor doesn't notice the way Dareios brings his hand up to clasp over his cheek, or the way he pushes himself into a standing position, the vampire absently checking his phone. Turning and moving towards the sink, she turns on the water, humming to herself enthusiastically as she begins to wash the few dishes that remained. Miya glances over at her shoulder, her lips curled up into a wide grin as she asks him if he wants to do something with her. Finally, her chocolate eyes catch the device in his hand, just as he asks her to do dinner. Momentarily distracted, she looks up at him, her grin returning in full force, "I think I'll have you for dinner," she laughs vibrantly again, hardly realizing what she had said. "Just kidding," she tacks on, turning away to finish the last of dishes, her hands finding a towel hanging on the cabinet to dry them off.
"It's awfully late, is there anywhere that's still open?" She muses thoughtfully, before taking a few steps back towards the mayor, her barefoot snagging on the edge of the carpet only to send her careening into his chest. A small oof escapes her lips as she slams against him, her fingers grasping at his arms to keep herself from falling over completely. Though his body was cool, she hardly registers it and instead begins to laugh again. "I guess I'm not that invincible," she murmurs against the lapels of his jacket, as she pulls herself into a full standing position, Miya tilting her head back to look up at him. "So, dinner - where should we go?" She smiles up at him, hardly realizing she was completely invading his personal space, that shy part of her long gone as the newfound energy is coursing through her blood.
