Click... click... click... The sounds of her obsidian stilettos tapped against the floor boards as she moved gracefully into the Voodoo Room. Deep green eyes cast themselves around at the other patrons of the quaint establishment. She sported a simple black dress, cut to her knees revealing her long toned legs. Adorning her neck line sat a sparkling diamond pendant. She carried a small clutch in her right hand, just large enough to carry all a girl could need for a night out. Simplicity was the name of the game tonight, her first night in town. As she sauntered through the mass of bodies, both mortal and of the supernatural variety, she kept her gaze fixed towards the bar. Don't discount her situational awareness however, she'd masterfully learned through the years to rely less on her line of vision and use her other senses more. Ears caught the tunes of each individual in the Voodoo Room; their voices, way they walked, the nervous twitch the young man in the corner booth had, heartbeats both faint and strong. She inhaled and immediately took note of every scent that was more than average; those who wore a permanent stench of animal on their skin, the silver blood that coursed through witches veins and those that carried the sweet smell of blood and carnage as they walked by. She highly enjoyed playing the unassuming little blonde girl, it was one of her favorite games. A tall man carrying a drink tray almost collided into her. The four glasses swayed gently atop the tray as he came to an abrupt halt before her. Rolling her eyes she continued past him, mumbling a foreign obscenity under her breath. Green eyes fell upon an empty booth, she slipped her slender frame around the table, sitting down and leaning back as she crossed her legs. Long manicured nails ran up through blonde strands, she'd left her long hair down tonight. Another man met her at the booth, taking her drink order before scurrying back off to retrieve it. She wasn't much for social drinking, but being new to Sacro it seemed to be a suitable idea to head out to a local drinking establishment. Green eyes wandered around the architecture of the bustling bar as she slowly tapped her finger nails down against the table top. The glass of wine was ushered back out to her, sat down against the table as she was asked if she'd needed anything else. Flashing a fake smile she sent the man away, needing nothing more from him at the moment. Her voice was laced with a faint French accent; over a century away from her birthplace has warped and dulled her chords. Pale fingers wrapped themselves neatly around the glass as she raised it to her unpainted lips. The merlot she sipped ran smoothly down her throat. It was not the finest wine, but that's what one keeps a collection for at home, for now it will do. She looked out through one of the tall windows; the sun had already set which meant more of her kind would be out wandering the streets. She didn't have the fear of the sun, it's rays did little to torment the petite blonde. She'd been gifted with the ability to walk openly in it, however she still found herself drawn to head out and play after the sun had given way to darkness. It wasn't that she didn't use and adore her gift, she took a great comfort in knowing she'd never wake to a half open blind and her flesh burning. A short lived smile danced along her lips as she brought her glass back up towards them. |
