~•Ren Nomura•~
... i don't ask for a lot, nothing more than i need, because i love what i've got ...

Blinking long, dark lashes over ocean-blue eyes sleepily, the were woman glances at the clock hanging on the wall over the small television she shared with the two huntresses...'Hmmm, 5:48am. That's a little later than usual'... Shuffling quietly within the warmth of her sleeping bag on the floor near the closet, she lifts her arms up in a satisfying stretch. Glancing over to the window, she can see that the sun hasn't yet risen over the eastern skyline of the city, but that was hardly surprising to her. If anything, Ren would consider waking up after 5:00am sleeping in, even though the rest of her roommates weren't typically awake at this time. Most of the world wasn't when given the chance to sleep in. However, she was a typical early bird, always happy to be up before the sun in hopes that the new day would bring her something wonderful, which is did more often that not. She hardly blamed those who preferred to start their days a little after the sunrise, though. Who didn't enjoy not having to worry about work that day? In fact, the were woman is entirely aware that today was her day off, which meant that she had absolutely nothing planned. While she did enjoy having plans to look forward to, the spontaneous part of Ren reveled in the aspect of what could happen on a day where she didn't have anywhere to be or anything in particular to do. Those were the days that adventure was practically begging the petite woman to venture outside, waiting just around that figurative street corner. Would she discover a new favorite treat if she made her way to the quieter southern district of the city where they often had a farmer's market set up near the beach? Perhaps she might dare to explore the City Creek Center instead and see if she might find something new and intriguing to bring back to the townhouse. After all, Ren had yet to wander through those bustling streets. Maybe she would meet someone new, and if all went well, they might part ways as friends. Oh, or better still... she might find someone to share the morning with, an unexpected and entirely welcomed possibility that has the were woman smiling brightly to herself as she lingers for only a few more moments within the coziness of her makeshift bed. Truly, anything was possible, and that was what she looked forward to more than anything else. In the end, it hardly mattered where she found herself. There was adventure and new experiences literally everywhere in this city, that much she'd come to learn almost immediately. So, all that she needed to do was decide which district called to her this morning, and Fate would take care of the rest.

After one more big stretch, the were woman shuffles out of her cocoon of blankets as silently as she can manage. Neatly folding up the sleeping bag and thick sherpa blanket underneath it before tucking it into a far corner of the bedroom, enduring that Raven and May would have plenty of space for their morning training.

Retrieving her favorite dark amber cold shoulder top, a pair of fitted jeans, and some white sneakers along with those needed unmentionables, the were woman tip-toes towards the bathroom. As always, she enjoyed starting her morning with a nice, warm shower, humming "Colorful World" softly to herself as she indulged in the feeling of water and soapy suds washing over her fair skin and through her long and silken ebony hair. There were few things that she did without a song in her heart, and this was certainly not one of those things. Cleaned, dried, and dressed, Ren dries her hair quickly, sighing contentedly at the feeling of that brush as it ran through raven-colored locks...'Maybe I should check out the northern district today'... She hadn't been there during daylight hours, having wandered those cobblestoned streets only once before. She'd met Tipson there, a charismatic young man who'd captured her interest immediately. Well, he hadn't been aware that they'd met before that few nights ago when Bo brought him to the townhouse, but she hardly blamed Tipson for not recognizing her, considering the fact that she'd been a feline when the young man had picked her up and taken her to dinner that evening. Still, even with the young man now living in the other other spare bedroom, Ren knew little about him. That would change soon enough, though, the were woman entirely determined to understand him better as she and her new companions became closer with the passing of time. She was a patient creature. If it took weeks or even months, she so desperately wanted to know everything about all three of her dear friends that they would share with her. As she finishes getting herself ready and quietly departs from the bathroom and descends the stairs, the ever present smile dancing upon her lips, Ren takes her keys from the row of hooks on the wall by the front door and takes those first steps out into the city. This was where her day would begin, fresh and anew. Ocean-blue eyes glance down both ways of the sidewalk, the usually busy streets quiet under the early morning sunlight just now beginning to highlight the buildings which towered above her and cast long, cool shadows over the few people that were walking to work, out for their morning job, or like Ren, simply out and about in search of whatever it was they had set out to find. Stepping down and onto the sidewalk, the were woman strolls contentedly past the rows of townhouses that made up Hawethorn Village and slowly makes her way towards the northern district of Sacrosanct, having decided only a moment ago that she wanted to experience what the daylight lifestyle of those immaculate and refined streets would be like.

Smiling to perfect strangers as she made her way deeper in the city, Ren wanders with carefree abandon, her pace relaxed and ocean-blue eyes bright. It was so astounding to her, the difference between early morning when most of the city was still asleep when compared to the full-fledged thrumming of midday bustling. It was almost... peaceful.

When at last she reaches the northern district, the first thing she notices is the rich aromas of roasted coffee beans and frothed milk...'Mmmm! That smells amazing!'... Looking around, the petite woman spots the source of the tantalizing scents. It was a small coffee shop just down the street, its doors open now when they'd been closed last time Ren had been here. It was hardly a decision she needed to ponder, moving towards the café and walking through the threshold to be welcomed by the muffled sounds of people talking amongst themselves mingled with the hissing of steaming wands and grinding notes of the espresso machines hard at work. Strolling up to the bar, she smiles warmly to the barista."Hello! I'd like one small hazelnut latte and...", she trails off for a moment as ocean-blue eyes look over the treats neatly arranged within the glass pastry case."Oh, one of those lemon loaf pieces, please", she adds, having spotted that bright yellow cake with a thin, white glaze on top."Sure thing! That'll be $6.50, please", the blonde woman says then, Ren nodding before reaching into her wallet and pulling out a ten dollar bill."Keep the change", she says sweetly before moving to the other side of the bar where she could see another barista handing out finished orders. As she looks around at the classy décor, the were woman notices that most of the small tables and booths were filled, which definitely seemed like a good sign to her. Patiently, she waits, also noticing that there were a couple others waiting for their own orders nearby. Then, suddenly, she hears the distinct sound of flip-flops entering the café. Turning to look over at where she'd placed her order, Ren notices a man dressed in obvious beach attire. Admittedly, he stood out rather significantly from the more formally dressed patrons, but it was the southern accent in his voice and the... kindness in his face that has the were woman fascinated by him. He places his own order and hands the barista the money for what she'd overheard to be a black breakfast brew and, by pure coincidence, the same baked treat as her...'A man of good taste'... she remarks silently to herself. He walks over to stand beside her, and in typical Ren fashion, the petite woman offers him a bright smile, her ocean-blue eyes glittering."That lemon loaf looks amazing. Have you had it from here before?", she asks him warmly. She wonders then if this was perhaps one of his usual morning stops, but the barista at the register hadn't seemed to recognize him, so maybe this was also his first time here. Either way, it was a good subject for casual conversation she thought. Most food was."Oh, I'm Ren, by the way", she says sweetly, extending her hand out to him in a gesture of good will and genuine politeness.
