North

Within the Northern vicinity of the city, the wealthy gather behind meticulously trimmed hedges and high-class architecture. The pristine streets are paved with stone and the storefronts are brightly lit and inviting - for the right clientele. In the North, every establishment is eager to cater to the rich and the wealthy. Many such places are used to the sometimes peculiar requests of the otherworldly but here there is little that money cannot buy - whether it happens to be illegal or merely involves looking the other way. Vampires and Dark Hunters are often found upon these Northern streets, their long lives often contributing to their sizable wealth which allows them the luxuries that the North provides.

The astonishment upon the French ballerina's features was laced with an unmistakable glimpse of awe as she regarded the man before her. How effortlessly he took on the very species that was known for preying upon their kind and now, in the aftermath of a truly perilous situation, he seemed wholly nonchalant, as if he did not have the same antsy adrenaline running through his system that saw Audette heart rapidly beat in her chest. She was hardly surprised by his honesty, after all, she had expected as much from him. Rather, it was that he had an apparent history doing just this and had clearly survived that was...nothing short of impressive. Perhaps she should have called him crazy for attempting to go up against a beast he could be so easily overpowered by and yet, Audette was the very sort to admire and believe in such feats of impossibilities. She watched as he ran his hand through his locks, only to dismiss her wonderment with the announcement that he was nothing short of utterly...'stupid.'

A soft laugh left her lips before the ballerina shook her head in disagreement. "Ah, but Monsieur Kit, perhaps if more of our kind were capable of standing up for themselves, then we would not number so few, oui?" She inquired, one brow arched as she dared him to disagree with her. "I think it is admirable that you stand up for the rest of us...myself included." Her hand rose to rest gently upon her heart as her head dipped in a small gesture of appreciation. A warm simper once again danced upon her features as he joined her on the sidewalk, and easily, Audette's hands fell to her side as she fell into step with him. The French woman's head tilted to the side as she eyed the man at her side, only to insist she certainly owed him far more than mere coffee after saving her more than once. She watched as a smirk crossed his features, only for the man to disagree with the gentle reminder of her efforts to attempt to help with the bullet that had once grazed him, even if Kit had done most of the work even that time too. "Then after coffee we shall be even?" She offered only to gesture down the street. "There is a cafe not far from here if you would like to accompany me? It is the least I can do."
