Like all individuals Raven was not one without a few skeletons in her closet. Some pretended they weren't there, storing their terrible incidents into the darkest part of their minds. However, the standoffish bookworm didn't have the luxury. Each night, if she slept alone, those dark memories would slowly trickle its way through the hole in her reassembled dam. First would come that slow dread feeling seeping through her nerves, her skin trembling ever so gently as the pace in her heart quickened. All noise would cease to exist except for the sounds of angered snarls and lowered growls, each one sounding more terrifying than the next. The only scent she could make out was blood, but not just her own, but others. Suddenly she could feel the harsh blows coming from all around, the sharp prodding coming from her sides, the painful hitting along her limbs, the cruel sensations that came when old broken bones would break again. It is difficult to store your skeletons away when they would come back as living nightmares in full force.

Tonight she was not being tortured by her living nightmares. Instead her mind was wandering into the main plot of an old favorite. The silly girl within the text being impressionable upon the crazy antics of her mad companions. Perhaps she could align herself with the main character due to the fact that she was slowly starting to become trained underneath the antics of one particular individual that claimed the warehouse district all to his own. While the girl was having a miserable time at the tea party being asked such a question, 'why is a raven like a writing desk,' her own thought began to bounce around at the idea of the riddle- knowing full well this couldn't have an answer. Musing on the possible wrong choices her focus was broken when she felt the presence of another. Blue-grey eyes shifted upwards when she heard the foreign accent, slate eyes drifted to the sickly sweet smile of the well-dressed female before her that seemed dressed more for the gazebo than the main room. Her scarred body remained relaxed, but her muscles were tightening as the scent of Dark Hunter filled her nose. As the Dark Hunter leaned forward, her nose wrinkled slightly as that foul odor increased. Placing the bookmark on the same page and closing the book with a soft snap, she would sigh softly as she placed the book down. It was a shame that she wouldn't be able to finish a chapter tonight, she was always fond of underland, with its mental and drugged characters. A polite smile was placed upon her pink lips, as she turned her attention towards the woman in front of her, placing her hands atop her treasured book. She had gotten away from a Dark Hunter before and she was sure she could do it again.

"You may know what I am, as to who I am, you have no idea."

It was not said with a malice threat, but with an undertone of humility, and fatigue- but this fatigue was not because of lack of sleep. She hoped she wouldn't ruin this skirt or blouse Nadya had chosen for her. She'd hate to have to admit to Nadya that they would need to visit the shop again, of course then again, she might be delighted to have another chance to pick her own clothes and drag the poor lupine along for the ride.

I'd Rather Feel Pain Then Nothing At All
