North

Within the Northern vicinity of the city, the wealthy gather behind meticulously trimmed hedges and high-class architecture. The pristine streets are paved with stone and the storefronts are brightly lit and inviting - for the right clientele. In the North, every establishment is eager to cater to the rich and the wealthy. Many such places are used to the sometimes peculiar requests of the otherworldly but here there is little that money cannot buy - whether it happens to be illegal or merely involves looking the other way. Vampires and Dark Hunters are often found upon these Northern streets, their long lives often contributing to their sizable wealth which allows them the luxuries that the North provides.

I drank liquor and ate a lighter, and woke up breathing fire

North
Her hands linger in the air, becoming severely impatient, when a man strides in. She hears a couple people stop speaking, the bartender looks up with a welcoming grin(one he lacked to share with me, I may add), so whoever it was... It was a regular. And judging by a couple of the drooling females, he wasn't an ugly one either.

Instantaneously, a well built boy leaps aboard the bar top like a cowboy on a fence and lets his feet dangle in the air. Em doesn't flinch, she merely just raises her eyebrows. With a little expression a drink slides into his hand, forcing Emerence to let out an exhausted sigh. Asshole, she pushes herself back from the golden trimmed table top and is about to high tail it to a more "welcoming" bar when his voice breaks her decision.

"I was waiting for a drink actually," she answers, her eyes slightly narrowed but nothing too threatening. She just doesn't feel like pouring into details about how poor the service is here. He does that same look, that same expression, and a drink slides in front of her like they are on conveyer belts. "Well, I guess you have to know someone."

Typical small city bars.

She lifts the glass in her grasp and dangles it by the rim. A circular motion with her wrist causes it to swirl about, the ice clinking the glass quietly. Holding it up to her lips she exhales like she is holding a mug of hot chocolate. Oh, Jack, it has been too long. She presses her guilty pleasure to her cherry painted bottom lip and takes a heavy sip. A slight burn aches her stomach, a feeling she had been longing since she left her home town.

It isn't until he speaks that she realizes he is still breathing her air.

With a roll of her eyes she says, "Mystique? Oh, hon, I just hate the cold."
