kissing death and loosing my breath
There was a small shrug to Serafina's shoulders, hardly concerned with fixing her legal status. Legality generally meant very little to the girl. After all, at a young age she had been taught to steal rather then relying on the kindness of people's hearts. Kindness wound her up in a police office with some person trying to find out who she was to put her in foster care with a bunch of strangers who had as many foster children as possible for some government payout. "Weather or not I exist is hardly something I'm concerned with." She spoke with a small laugh to her soprano lyrics. "However, if you have a way to draw me up a passport so I can leave the country, I might be interested." There was an inquisitive twinkle to her eye at the prospect of seeing the world that lay outside her doorstep. Then again, legal documents were hardly her entire concern. The shop was her only source of income and she was still having difficulties finding where her dead mentor had tied up all his money. It was an ongoing battle but one she refused to think of at any great lengths with her fictitious trip to Paris surrounding her. Instead, her attention settled to the dinner placed in front of her with a brief glimpse of inquisitiveness, even if it was fleeting.

It was the envelope she found accompanying her meal that truly held Serafina's interest. Like a feline her curiosity raged within her at any oddity within the world around her and this one was truly shrouded in mystery. Her gaze glanced upwards at him as she inquired if she could indeed open it, hardly wanting to be rude to her host when he had clearly put so much effort into the evening. At his indication, the girl slid her fingernail against the flap, her grey eyes peering into the ivory piece of paper to stare intently at it's contents. Her eyebrows furrowed in brief confusion as she eyed the shine of the diamond, upending the envelope to let the stone fall into her hand. The witch held the stone between her forefinger and thumb, letting the dazzling rock catch the light of the Eiffel Tower that stood over them, her mouth was parted ever so slightly as she watched the magnificent stone, her gaze only briefly flickering to him as he finished speaking. "I think....that I'd like that." She spoke after a moment, reaching out to hand him back the diamond he had given her. Serafina had never been given jewelery before, especially not anything that was real in such a manner by any one. It was nice, the thought of having something so pretty be hers and that made her less inclined to part with it.

Serafina could thoroughly admit to enjoying the evening spent upon the terrace in France. She had nibbled upon the feast he'd created, relishing in the flavors that toyed with her pallet, their conversation had been surprisingly pleasant and with a bit of coaxing the girl had managed to learn more about the mysterious warlock that had rather invade her life. She too did her best to answer any inquiries that came in her general direction whilst keeping the more boring, depressing details to herself. Serafina had to admit that she was relatively surprised after indulging in the chocolate strawberry dessert to find that Davante fully intended to return the female to her home instead of coaxing her into his own bed. Then again, her knowledge of the dating world was relatively short, consisting on of what she'd seen on the television or in movies. Sweetly she had provided him with a butterfly brush of her lips upon his cheek to thank him for the evening, restraining herself much in the same fashion that he chose too. After all, Serafina had fully shown him her interest within him when he sat upon her bench bruised and maimed, Azrael's advice to make him work for it still on the forefront of her brain. She reflected on her evening whilst she laid in her bed hours later, staring at the ceiling with a small simper upon her feminine features. He was certainly charismatically enigmatic, that Serafina could surely give him.
