As of now there was not the time nor place to correct Tobias about sharing, or why she kept grabbing the steering wheel from him, why the seatbelt was on them, or any other thing that regarded into her actions trying to protect them. She wasn't sure if she even told him would he ever understand. The wildcat was having far too much fun and nothing would be in his way of his delight. That he was causing them to go up a 'hill' to fly wasn't very appealing, but what choice did they have? Either she could pull on the clutch and force the truck to stop which would lead to a pissed off Tobi. She could have had him steer left or right and cause the truck to fall off the ramp and tumble down, break the truck, but at least keep them alive. However, she noticed how happy he was and the poor girl was far too selfless to steal his happiness away. Even though she was sure this would lead them to their deaths. For a moment she had to helplessly, silently, watch as he obeyed her instructions the boy far more willing for her to lead them along. As the steering wheel straightened out and his pressure on the accelerator was correct there really wasn't much else she could do. They were going to 'fly' and she hoped some luck would come their way. Even though her counterpart was fearless and reckless she was neither of these things...apparently the cliché 'opposites attract' is right between these two. Why Tobias felt the need to make sound effects she did not know, but it did not help her remain calm. As she felt the truck's tires leave the ground she held her breath, eyes closed tightly shut for a moment, before they began to widen as the tires met the ground.
As soon as the truck came to a sudden clear stop, thanks to her handiwork with the clutch, she could actually feel her tense form begin to relax. Her mind began to waver slightly the trauma, shock, and strained nerves were all mixing together causing her heart to pound away not slowing down at all. Taking soft deep breaths her eyes closed as the deafening screams and hollers of their new found fans hid her fretting beating heart. His inquiry about what prize they would win was completely ignored the girl hardly caring for such things. There were moments when she was capable of being competitive. Being in the ring at his side brought that hidden ferocity within her, but being stuck within this monster truck did not provide her such an environment. What they would win hardly mattered. The fact that they were alive and unharmed was good enough. Unaware that the man from the red truck was going to make his threat become a reality she did not notice how so very close he was to harming her. As one hand clutched tightly around her throat, she let out a ragged gasp as her eyes shifted and saw the hulking man, but she could not scream. His release along her throat caused her to exhale desperately as she felt Tobi begin to shift. With the seatbelts torn she sunk closer into her chair as Tobi leapt over her and after the male. The stench of blood filled her nose as his blood splattered at the inside of the cab. The sound of Tobias snarl was overwhelmed by the shrieks from the patrons that had formerly cheered for him. Shifting into her own furred form she ran after her companion, barely landing on all four paws as she raced towards him.
"Tobi...I'm okay you don't need to hurt him anymore."
Although she appreciated his capability of protecting her this was not the time nor place. All around them she noticed the familiar blue uniform of security and some police officers, that were meant to control the crowd, apparently their new task was animal control. As the bearded man fell to the sand, grasping his bloodied hand she observed Tobi stalking even closer, ignoring her plea. Padding up silently closer to him she allowed her shoulder to press into his side as she rubbed her scarred form against his own, his luxurious fur entwining with her softer fur, the top of her head running from his shoulder to his neck as she attempted to distract him. Now was not the time to further attack the injured male. She was not dead and he could do them no more harm. As the police and security began to approach closer to the duo, black lips pulled back to reveal her sharp teeth as a warning. Worried eyes would look back to her companion before thick shadows began to swirl around them, keeping them hidden from the others, as she attempted one more time to get them to leave.
"Come on Tobi let's go, for me, please?"
