He felt strangely winded, momentarily weak and off guard, by the sudden rush that came when he thought of Aisling. It made him feel awkward and unpoised in this stranger's presence. It was so foreign and unsettling. Dareios was characteristically unmovable. He was the rock that made this business so successful. He was dependable. Charming. Smart. Always in control. But that had never been the case when he was with Aisling. Perhaps that is what he missed so much about her -- how easy it was for her to unearth him. The thrill of the highs and the lows. Dareios does his best to move on from it. There was, after all, a pretty young woman here who seemed half heartedly interested in his attention, if only temporarily. But it is difficult. Part of him wishes to retreat back into the hazy confines of his suite upstairs and start over. Or perhaps refuse to come out at all. Dareios listens to her when she talks, thankful for the distraction. He finds her choice of words peculiar. "It won't be forever?" Stumped at how how to respond, which he blames of on his lingering uncertainty, he mumbles an "Oh." Feeling the need to look busy, he raises his wrist to eye level, noting the time. The show he planned to see at the jazz bar down the street wouldn't start for another hour or so. The vampire, whom up to this point was feeling rather restless today, was looking forward to a long stroll among the masses in the busy shopping and dining district not far from this block. But when she looks at him this way, with those big eyes, he sees no reason at all not to abandon his plans. "Of course. The Witchery is the perfect place to start when exploring Sacrosanct for the first time." He says with a smile. "OK then." He adds with a nod and strides gallantly to the entryway, thrusting open the heavy door and holding it open for her. "I'm Dareios, by the way." Dareios | Vampire | Vinyl |
