North

Within the Northern vicinity of the city, the wealthy gather behind meticulously trimmed hedges and high-class architecture. The pristine streets are paved with stone and the storefronts are brightly lit and inviting - for the right clientele. In the North, every establishment is eager to cater to the rich and the wealthy. Many such places are used to the sometimes peculiar requests of the otherworldly but here there is little that money cannot buy - whether it happens to be illegal or merely involves looking the other way. Vampires and Dark Hunters are often found upon these Northern streets, their long lives often contributing to their sizable wealth which allows them the luxuries that the North provides.

kissing death and loosing my breath
A small shrug crossed Serafina's shoulders at his idle inquiry, knowing in some fashion that he was teasing her rather than anything else. "Maybe." She responded with a wistful simper upon her lips, providing the man with a small, playful wink. She was, however, happy enough to change the topic, her head tilting to the side ever so slightly as he inquired after her life at her rather obscure store. "I inherited it - the shop. It's pretty nice all and all. I mean, it can get annoying because clients look to you to solve all their problems and just expect you to bend over backwards for them, but otherwise I kind of enjoy it." A warm simper pulled at the corner of her sweetheart lips as she admitted her fondness for her career, even though it had not been her first choice. She had rather fallen into the job and yet, as time grew, Serafina found herself rather enjoying it. A small giggle left the witch's lips at Blake's grin, her head bobbing ever so slightly in agreement at their shared experience when it came to their lack of college.

Blake's clear astonishment in regards to the festival certainly made Serafina inquire after when the last time he had been to any such event. Her mouth opened ever so slightly in astonishment as Blake admitted it had been quite a few years since he had attended any sort of festivities. "That's terrible. You poor thing, you've missed out so much in life." Serafina responded with mock horror. After all, she had to admit that she rather looked forward to such festivities, even if she generally kept to herself in life. They tended to provide the girl a chance to step out of her comfort zone, to let her hair down and for even just a moment, enjoy the life she was given. Her thoughts had momentarily drifted to this very facet of festivals before she found herself interrupted by a rather unusual challenge and an equally as favorable reward. Despite her momentary contemplations, she was all too willing to jump into this game he had proposed for her.

She felt the brush of his arm against her shoulder, bringing a playful scowl to his features as she stuck the tip of her tongue out at her companion. "That's not going to help you to win!" She declared, her stormy gaze turning towards the target, pressing down on the trigger the moment they were allowed too. She watched the strong stream of water spray from the tip of her gun, glancing over from the periphery of her vision to note the rather sad stream from Blake's own gun. A giggle left her lips as he nudged her and she all too freely pushed him back, making sure in the process that she at least hit her target. After all, she wanted a bear or two, didn't she? It was only when she was declared the winner that her fingertips left the gun to instead flail in the air with glee. Her gaze turned towards her companion, freely laughing at his declaration. "I think you forgot that you chose the guns! Are you playing me? Maybe you just wanted me to win, huh?"
